Ann Kenkel Interiors Gwin Hunt Photography Coastal Estate in St. Michael's Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. House was designed after the original 1770's house on the property. Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house. AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color. The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay. We designed this basement kitchenette to resemble that of a mini theater concession stand! Sleek black paneled cabinetry with a glass door display case is perfect for showing off your collection of sweets! A popcorn and soft ice cream machine are also a nice touch to this home theater - setting the mood for a cozy night in watching your favorite movie. The add a bit of personal style, we adorned the kitchenette with the client's unique artwork -- showcasing passionate reds and working as a contrast to the overall monochromatic kitchenette design. Project designed by Star Valley, Wyoming interior design firm Tawna Allred Interiors. New in 2018 are my green, Cutthroat trout, top-view (dorsal view) fish shaped mosaic ceramic tiles for floors. These rapidly have become a HUGE hit, along with my spawning Chinook salmon shaped tiles and Steelhead salmon shaped tiles.
