This project was a complete gut renovation of our client's gold coast condo in Chicago, IL. We opened up and renovated the kitchen, living dining room, entry and master bathroom

ATIID collaborated with these homeowners to curate new furnishings throughout the home while their down-to-the studs, raise-the-roof renovation, designed by Chambers Design, was underway. Pattern and color were everything to the owners, and classic “Americana” colors with a modern twist appear in the formal dining room, great room with gorgeous new screen porch, and the primary bedroom. Custom bedding that marries not-so-traditional checks and florals invites guests into each sumptuously layered bed. Vintage and contemporary area rugs in wool and jute provide color and warmth, grounding each space. Bold wallpapers were introduced in the powder and guest bathrooms, and custom draperies layered with natural fiber roman shades ala Cindy’s Window Fashions inspire the palettes and draw the eye out to the natural beauty beyond. Luxury abounds in each bathroom with gleaming chrome fixtures and classic finishes. A magnetic shade of blue paint envelops the gourmet kitchen and a buttery yellow creates a happy basement laundry room. No detail was overlooked in this stately home - down to the mudroom’s delightful dutch door and hard-wearing brick floor.

The cozy lounge area is the perfect place to enjoy the game on a warm summer evening. If you feel like a refreshing dip, the pool’s adjacent deep end has a convenient underwater swim out bench at the corner. On cool evenings the Napoleon Skyfire patio heater on the deck is a popular attraction.

**Project Overview**
This new custom home is filled with personality and individual touches that make it true to the owners' vision. When creating the guest bath, they wanted to do something truly unique and a little bit whimsical. The result is a custom-designed furniture piece vanity in a custom royal blue finish, as well as matching mirror frames.
**What Makes This Project Unique?**
The clients had an image in their minds and were determined to find a place for it in their new custom home. Their love of bold blue and this unique style led to the creation of this one-of-a-kind piece. The room is bathed in natural light, and the use of light colors in the tile to complement the brilliant blue, help ensure that the space remains light, airy and welcoming.
**Design Challenges**
Because this furniture piece doesn't start with a standard vanity, our biggest challenge was simply determining what pieces we could draw upon from a semi-custom custom cabinet line.

The newly refinished and stained hardwood floors look so good that even the family dog knows to stay off them! New recessed ceiling lights provide ample brightness to this refreshed main entrance of the house.

This bathroom remodel uses the original pedestal sink and rounded corner tub. Seafoam colors were chosen to give the feeling of diving into refreshing water. Recycled bottle glass tile trim, crackle glaze ceramic subway tile walls and marble floor are a cool compliment to this Art Deco Marble ceiling light.Photo: Eric Staudenmeier

Scion’s Wabi Sabi collection celebrates the beauty of imperfection, encapsulating the spirit of age-old hand crafted techniques. The 13 fabric designs are inspired by traditional methods such as block-printing, shibori, batik and ikat. They appear naive, natural, casual and uncontrived, perhaps even timeworn and weathered, but at the same time they are refreshing and uplifting, in a stunning array of mood-enhancing shades.

The TV stand in reclaimed wood houses the large screen TV comfortably for now, but will be wall mounted shortly to allow for even more room for other decorative items.

Great Plains Oak solid hardwood embraces the simple, natural, and understated beauty of Scandinavian style. Fine, even graining is broken up by occasional knots. With its whitewashed blonde hues, Great Plains Oak is a refreshing neutral to set the stage for charming, minimalist décor and contemporary, new classic looks.

This smaller family home was in desperate need of a new identity and a master suite addition. We updated the whole aesthetic of the home and offered the owner several options for the new addition's exterior design. The addition also adds a large deck that is shaded from the harsh Western sun in the evenings.

“We want to redo our cabinets…but my kitchen is so small!” We hear this a lot here at Reborn Cabinets. You might be surprised how many people put off refreshing their kitchen simply because homeowners can’t see beyond their own square footage. Not all of us can live in a big, sprawling ranch house, but that doesn’t mean that a small kitchen can’t be polished into a real gem! This project is a great example of how dramatic the difference can be when we rethink our space—even just a little! By removing hanging cabinets, this kitchen opened-up very nicely. The light from the preexisting French doors could flow wonderfully into the adjacent family room. The finishing touches were made by transforming a very small “breakfast nook” into a clean and useful storage space.

An outdated 1920's bathroom in Bayside Queens was turned into a refreshed, classic and timeless space that utilized the very limited space to its maximum capacity. The cabinets were once outdated and a dark brown that made the space look even smaller. Now, they are a bright white, accompanied by white subway tile, a light quartzite countertop and polished chrome hardware throughout. What made all the difference was the use of the tiny hex tile floors. We were also diligent to keep the shower enclosure a clear glass and stainless steel.
