Footprint Architects LtdThe key design driver for the project was to create a simple but contemporary extension that responded to the existing dramatic topography in the property’s rear garden. The concept was to provide a single elegant form, cantilevering out into the tree canopies and over the landscape. Conceived as a house within the tree canopies the extension is clad in sweet chestnut which enhances the relationship to the surrounding mature trees. Large sliding glass panels link the inside spaces to its unique environment. Internally the design successfully resolves the Client’s brief to provide an open plan and fluid layout, that subtly defines distinct living and dining areas. The scheme was completed in April 2016

Rush Dixon ArchitectsThe design of this residence began as a collaboration between Alka Construction and Rush Dixon Architects to continue Fulton Neighborhood’s “unique modern living” approach to the built environment. The collective goal was to create a “lowcountry modern” aesthetic that responds to the site. Prior to the commencement of construction the current homeowner purchased the property; we were then able to customize the design to their priorities and preferences.

These elements set the locations for the transom, handrail, and roofline at the screened porch addition.
TELFORD+BROWN STUDIO ARCHITECTUREOur client’s modest, three-bedroom house occupies a beautiful, small site having views down the length of Lake Oswego. The design responded to their appreciation of Hawaiian Island/Pacific Rim architecture and to the strict limitation to construction imposed by local zoning. We worked with Forsgren Design Studio on the selection of materials and finishes.
