The lovely family of this beautiful historic Concord home needed a space they could grow into. With two little ones running around, this kitchen completed the great room that the previous owners had started. Crisp, clean and thoughtfully designed, they are thrilled to wake up to their new space every day. From the smaller dark garnet red cherry kitchen, this transformation will speak for itself!

This ADU was born on Ran’s computer in the beginning of April 2020. After planning and designing process, Sow, and contract, we submitted the plans to the city and 3 months later we had permit in hand. The job started on Aug 2020 and ended at mid-October with breaking time record. The job included complete conversion of a detach garage, vault the ceiling to get a larger feel and look, running new gas line, plumbing lines, new electrical , creating new bathroom and huge closet in a small space and off course full kitchen! At the end of the job when we finished the interior, we completed the outside which included new driveway and paving stone. The customer was extremely happy and got is new house completed right on time for a new baby to come.

Our professional remodeling contractors strategically designed this kitchen with an island that allowed guests to enjoy beautiful outdoor views. We carefully positioned the sink, cooker, and refrigerator to offer functionality and easy navigation when cooking. For the entry way we started off by doing some prep work. Next we added a semi gloss finish to the baseboard and door trim followed by a rich vibrant bold red satin finish. A satin finish is great for high traffic areas as they are easier to clean than your standard flat finish. In this bedroom we started by removing the strip of wall paper running along the center of the wall and repairing the drywall damage above and surrounding the radiator. after doing additional prep work we added two coats of ceiling paint to the walls as well as a semi gloss finish to the baseboard trim, door trim and the door itself. Next we primed the wall and added two coats of a neutral matte flat finish to the walls. This bedroom had plain dirty off white walls with matching trim and a faded ceiling color. After doing some prep work we gave the trim along the floor, ceiling and windowsill a nice clean white semi gloss finished and the walls and ceiling a smooth neutral color flat finish. After doing some prep work we applied a fresh coat of ceiling paint to the ceiling followed by two coats of matte flat paint. For the upstairs office we started off by removing all the wall paper and performing some prep work. Next we added new ceiling paint and a semi gloss finish along the baseboards, window trim and door trim as well as the door itself. We followed this up by giving the room a simple neutral flat finish.

In our master bathroom, we wanted to refresh the design without changing the cabinetry or layout. Every piece of tile in this beautiful Santa Barbara-style home is intentional and unique. Starting with a unique floral tile that runs across the bathroom wall into the shower, where it meets our featured green subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern. The heated bathroom floor is a mix and match of different colored hexagons that pull colors from the shower wall and the floral design. The newly chosen hardware is umbrio, a bronze finish with prominent copper highlights, and our plumbing fixtures are venetian bronze to match. The mirrors were reused and painted black to go with our backsplash. And last but not least a beautiful copper bathtub to bring it all together.

A convergence of sleek contemporary style and organic elements culminate in this elevated esthetic. High gloss white contrasts with sustainable bamboo veneers, run horizontally, and stained a warm matte caramel color. The showpiece is the 3” bamboo framing around the tall units, engineered in strips that perfectly align with the breaks in the surrounding cabinetry. So as not to clutter the clean lines of the flat panel doors, the white cabinets open with touch latches, most of which have lift-up mechanisms. Base cabinets have integrated channel hardware in stainless steel, echoing the appliances. Storage abounds, with such conveniences as tray partitions, corner swing-out lazy susans, and assorted dividers and inserts for the profusion of large drawers. Pure white quartz countertops terminate in a waterfall end at the peninsula, where there’s room for three comfortable stools under the overhang. A unique feature is the execution of the cooktop: it’s set flush into the countertop, with a fascia of quartz below it; the cooktop’s knobs are set into that fascia. To assure a clean look throughout, the quartz is continued onto the backsplashes, punctuated by a sheet of stainless steel behind the rangetop and hood. Serenity and style in a hardworking space.
