THEME Doors are a visual frame to the
entrance of a great room. This highquality,
personalized element adds
fun and interest to the room before it
is even entered, and provides a great
introduction for any theme.
FOCUS The half-door offers unique
access to the room, providing a true
feeling of ownership for the child and
peace of mind for parents. The top half
of the door swings separate from the
bottom, maintaining great ventilation
and a clear view into the room.
GROWTH The doors look beautiful and
function normally for many years.
SAFETY The doors easily replace
unsightly baby gates and provide
the same level of restraint, without
the footholds or slats often used by
children to manipulate or climb gates.
Solid wood core birch construction
keeps sound out (or sound in) when
the door is closed, while a sliding
gate lock safely secures the bottom
half, and makes opening the top half
simple.

In the Dining Room: we selected a gorgeous wool rug, featuring shades of cobalt blue and deep rusty orange and then painted the walls Salty Dog (a classic bright navy). The spunky light fixture is a focal point and the farm table easily seats eight hungry friends.

This bathroom renovation kept the vintage ambiance while incorporating a few contemporary finishes. We replaced the pedestal sink with a contemporary square, wall mounted sink & faucet, repainted the radiator in a glamorous silver color, installed octagon-designed floor tiles, new subway tile, designed a sleek medicine cabinet, and installed two shower shelves that were safe and out of reach from the client’s children.

This bedroom went through a repurposing as well. We brought the beds and linens down from the upstairs bedroom and at the client’s request worked them into the whole house scheme. The client requested that we include the lime colored accent pillows into this guest bedroom. We found old wicker chairs, a whitewashed table and accent chair and a roped area rug in other rooms as well as watercolor art that we combined to pull off a comfortable and casual setting. All furnishings and accessories belonged to the client. We just moved things around a bit and replaced fabric valances (as throughout the home) with simple, white painted wood valances. The blinds were carried over from the original plan. The glass sailboats we hung from the mirrors were found in a bureau chest. We were very happy with the end result.
The adjoining bathroom was renovated with a new white vanity and open shelving, a dark hunter green Cambria countertop and new mirrors. We had the tiles restored and added a white shower curtain. As with the entire home, all floors were replaced with a wood look surface made of vinyl. I have had numerous trades ask whether the floors are wood…They look that real. They are a perfect option, particularly for those living near water. These were manufactured by Coretec and meet all safety standards from California. They do not emit dangerous toxins and are safe for children and animals. They were purchased through Capital Flooring in Petoskey, MI and were installed by Harborview Builders of Petoskey, MI. They look fabulous. No bathrooms require thresholds which eliminates a trip hazard and the tones blend with the hues throughout the home. They have cork surfaces which make them very easy on bare feet and stay much warmer than other surfaces.

This project shows a garage door cable repair for a homeowner in Hoffman Estates. The damaged cable was safely removed and replaced to restore smooth and balanced door movement.

This Littleton, CO homeowner wanted to update a cramped, outdated bathroom into a space that felt modern, safe, and easy to maintain. The old tub was removed and replaced with a sleek walk-in shower featuring durable stone-look walls, a built-in storage niche, and matte black fixtures for a timeless finish.
We installed a space-saving vanity with barn-door cabinetry, paired with a clean, white countertop and a black faucet, to maximize both style and functionality. Large-format, marble-look floor tiles create a seamless flow while making the small bathroom feel more open.
By rethinking the layout and updating every element, we created a bathroom that’s not only beautiful but also practical for everyday living — blending safety, convenience, and long-lasting design.

The backyard in this Dunwoody, GA residence presented several challenges, including failing cinder block walls, unsafe steps, and an aging deck. These issues rendered the space largely unusable and created drainage problems, limiting both safety and functionality for the homeowners. Our team addressed these issues by removing all existing structures and undertaking a comprehensive rebuild. This involved regrading the area for proper drainage, constructing new retaining walls, and installing integrated steps for safe access throughout the yard. Multiple paver patios were also installed to create defined entertaining areas. The outcome is a safe and highly functional outdoor living space in Dunwoody. The new retaining walls provide essential structural support, the drainage system manages stormwater effectively, and the integrated patios and walkways offer inviting areas for recreation and access.

Once CRS was brought in to finish the basement, the previous work was corrected and the rest of the space followed suit.
The majority of the basement was designed to have an open concept with a small living room and a large office space. A small utility room was created with additional storage and a small fridge, separated from the rest of the basement by a sliding barn door. Additional power outlets and new pot lights in the ceiling required a pony box to be installed, providing enough power for the new additions.
New stairs and proper support for the basement landing made the basement safe for everyone to enjoy and doors were added to hide the workspaces from the main living area. The laundry room had it’s original concrete sink demolished and removed to allow for a sleek modern replacement with storage. The layout of the laundry machines was also altered to create a better flow and functionality to the room.
The homeowners requested the window boxes remain unfinished throughout the basement to allow more flexibility in the future when the windows are replaced.

The clients’ 1995 primary bathroom wasn’t functional or safe. They wanted it accessible so they could age-in-place. However, to keep costs down, they wanted to stay within the current footprint and keep the same general layout. Key changes to the project included replacing a double window with a single window. This allowed for the larger double bowl vanity and a double built-in linen cabinet. A 32” wide door was installed and the tub was replaced with a barrier-free, curbless, shower. A white painted Shaker style flat panel double vanity with rarely seen Lemurian Blue granite and two white undermount sinks were added. The granite is quarried in Madagascar and rich in iridescent, labradorite deposits is the room’s focal point. A curbless shower with a hinged glass door was installed. The colors of the shower deco strip reflect the vanity top color palette. Large format marble look white and taupe porcelain shower wall and floor tile with hints of blue were installed in the shower and bathroom floor. Taupe 2 x 2 tiles were laid on the shower floor. A granite shaving bench and two corner shelves for products were added. Delta Lahara polished chrome shower head and hand shower system, vanity faucets and a robe hook were installed. Polished chrome is repeated in the Schlage Accent privacy lever door handles and Top Knobs cabinet hardware. A large custom beveled vanity framed mirror and two polished chrome three-light vanity fixtures with white glass globes were also installed.
