Arabic house design from Katrina Antonovich embrace with coziness and comfort. The oriental style allows you to saturate the interior with abundance of luxurious decor.Soft velvet of rich shades and silk on soft sofas and in folds of canopies fill the interior with softness and warmth. Boiserie on the walls with decorative stucco in tone with velvet and carved gilded décor is in harmony with the ceiling decoration. Marble floors decorated with swirls of patterns with oriental motifs. Ceilings decor is saturated with stucco and gilding, and in the center there can be an exquisite stained glass panel on the author's sketches of Katrina Antonovich. Crystal chandeliers scatter bright specks of light around the room. Rich colors from turquoise of the heavens to the gold of the sun and summer garden amazingly decorate apartments. Soft textile panels and carved decoration with gold leaf gilding fit perfectly for doors decoration. The entire interior in the oriental style by Katrina Antonovich is imbued with the magic of oriental flavors and soft emotional evening.

On the exterior, the desire was to weave the home into the fabric of the community, all while paying special attention to meld the footprint of the house into a workable clean, open, and spacious interior free of clutter and saturated in natural light to meet the owner’s simple but yet tasteful lifestyle. The utilization of natural light all while bringing nature’s canvas into the spaces provides a sense of harmony.
Light, shadow and texture bathe each space creating atmosphere, always changing, and blurring the boundaries between the indoor and outdoor space. Color abounds as nature paints the walls. Though they are all white hues of the spectrum, the natural light saturates and glows, all while being reflected off of the beautiful forms and surfaces. Total emersion of the senses engulf the user, greeting them with an ever changing environment.
Style gives way to natural beauty and the home is neither of the past or future, rather it lives in the moment. Stable, grounded and unpretentious the home is understated yet powerful. The environment encourages exploration and an awakening of inner being dispelling convention and accepted norms.
The home encourages mediation embracing principals associated with silent illumination.
If there was one factor above all that guided the design it would be found in a word, truth.

A master bedroom with rich color, texture and personality!
With a colorful master bathroom that blends the perfect matte finish, semi-primitive blast of pattern with rich, saturated jewel tones and a little calacatta gold tile – determining the best fabrics and finishes for the master bedroom felt like a HUGE challenge. How do you stand up to something so fabulously unique and still create a soft respite for someone to slumber?!
This bedroom was a small space with existing Vetrazzo floors and an entire wall dedicated to floor-to-ceiling fixed glass pane windows. Between the cracks in the plaster ceiling and the lacquered pink dresser we knew we had our work cut out.
Saturated colors create a fairy tale bedroom
Fast forward to finding the perfect, sumptuously soft evergreen mohair for the headboard and furry tuffets for the foot of the bed. Texture became the name of the game and a certain level of color variation had to tie through from selection to selection. Cladding the walls with a gilt woven cloth wall covering that also pulled a sort of skin-tone clay from detail found in the Vetrazzo flooring (OMG! so pretty!) and grounding everything with a sort of deco-inspired one-of-a-kind wool rug. The layers of unexpected style helped develop a more collected – less stylized – feeling overall.
Then it was bye-bye to the pink lacquer! A local artisan worked on a faux finish for the custom dresser that the client had already invested in and we just gave it a refresh with a deep bronze finish. Balancing this piece with the playful silk tassel pendant lights that frame a beautiful original painting of red headed queens by artist Nancy Rhodes Harper.
Exquisite lighting for a sexy master bedroom
Additionally, the swirl and swoop of the forged metal light fixture overhead play off the more structured spinal-column type pattern of the black out window treatments that truly act as their own piece of art. Each element has its place and plays with the visual and textural aesthetics that make our client (and our team) swoon.

While the majority of the home is fresh and bright, we did want to incorporate some saturation! Selecting the master bedroom, we choose to paint the entire room a deep blue; then creating a tone-on-tone effect by layering in bedding and wall art in the same color range. The overall effect is both moody, dramatic and yet incredibly relaxing. We carried this saturated look into the master bath as well, were we opted for the most beautiful black floor tiles, arranged in a herringbone pattern; and handcrafted teal wall tiles.

It can be set to a static color mode or color-changing mode with a color controller.

Double saturated shadowbox, unique wallpaper, and checkerboard tile details set the backdrop for our curated blend of furnishing and accessory elements from top to bottom. Many cherished collectibles were carefully integrated as well.

An office designed for a Hollywood producer who wanted a space that was warm and inviting, but still strong and masculine. Marilynn incorporated deep saturated blue on the wall with leather and plaid accents. Vintage pieces, brass and a tufted sofa add sophistication to this space with mostly industrial elements.
