Custom Surface Solutions (www.css-tile.com) - Owner Craig Thompson (512) 430-1215. This project shows a new construction master bathroom with two showers, and wall mounted vanities. Shower wall tile and vanity wall wainscots and floor base tile is 6" x 18" Carrera Marble on offset subway pattern. Shower floors are 5/8" Carrera Marble mosaic tile. All exposed edges including windows, shower walls, top wainscots and floor base are custom bull-nose profiled. Shower floor is custom mud set with SchluterSystems waterproofing and drain system.

Jewett Farms + Co’s Reclaimed Maple – Beech blends the light tones of honey and tawny blonds with hints of pink. The timbers are sourced from old barns in the East and Mid West, where they were primarily used as beams to support structures. This flooring blends light tones and features small scratches, some knots, nail holes and some insect tracts. At the time of the European settlement Maple and Beech trees were the most common hardwoods in the forests of the Midwest. Both Maple and Beech are medium density hard woods with very little color or grain variation, because of this the two species were commonly used together. Jewett Farms + Co honor the tradition of combining these two species in an elegant, reclaimed wide plank Maple – beech flooring product. This remodel was undertaken to update an existing 8'x 5.5' Master Bath, using previous locations for new fixtures and a tub to shower conversion. Extensive use of marble completed the transformation with a spectacular lake view from the shower window. Photos and faux marble trim finish by Greg Schmidt.

Wall was removed, and stair case opened up, to create an open concept living space. The kitchen dining, and living room went from three small dark rooms to one bright and airy multi-functional space.
