In order to allow plenty of walking space around the pool, we designated a 12’ x 12’ area for the outdoor kitchen that was thoughtfully designed with arched windows, a hand-troweled stucco finish, exposed wood timber ceilings, and custom cut rafter tails. The quartzite selection was wisely chosen to complement the beautiful Spanish tile coping around the pool, the brick patios, iron detail and the warm ochre tone of the home’s exterior.

Design for a young family of five. Oversaw the project from initial planning to material selection, custom carpentry, and final detailing. The residence features a serene and balanced color scheme, prominently using wood,concrete and subtle color accents.​

The original kitchen was small and in need of a new layout. The homeowners are very social and host parties regularly. A large island for entertaining was a must. To get the adequate space, Wood Wise designer Kathy Walker provided design options that included having the existing living room become the new formal dining room. This allowed the existing dining room to become part of the new kitchen layout. The wall between the kitchen and family room was removed to open up the rooms. Two solar tubes give bright natural light to this interior kitchen. Wood Wise provided all design. Kathy Walker designed the cabinet plan and assisted homeowners with all showroom selections.
