**Please note that this item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike. The finish you may receive won't be the exact reproduction of what you see in the pictures, due to variations in each board used. Further, by their nature, wood planks may be somewhat uneven, and may cup or bow slightly over time, further enhancing their rustic one-of-a-kind character; cracks, dents, scratches, etc may be present. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood are to be expected and celebrated.

A gorgeous kitchen remodeled from a builder’s basic, incorporating a palette of bright blue, soft grey and pops of warm copper. As a multi-generational home, it was really important to create smooth transitions, allowing ease of accessibility, and the client’s favourite colour, blue! We started, with removing a wall in the kitchen, that opened up the space to the much-used family room. We created an island with overhang for conversations with the cook, and a rest stop for Grandma. As all three adults have different dietary demands, a set of wall ovens was added, and a commercial grade range hood for lots of yummy food prep.
Additional functional design features a new built-in buffet with storage, and a window bench seat. By adding a pendant light over the kitchen table, along with the beautiful big window, this space has been lovingly updated, showcasing the family’s personality and has now earned the most popular spot in the house.

This lakeside home was completely refurbished inside and out to accommodate 16 guests in a stylish, hotel-like setting. Owned by a long-time client of Pulp, this home reflects the owner's personal style -- well-traveled and eclectic -- while also serving as a landing pad for her large family. With spa-like guest bathrooms equipped with robes and lotions, guest bedrooms with multiple beds and high-quality comforters, and a party deck with a bar/entertaining area, this is the ultimate getaway.

Come inside and see the open floor plan in this Lake Gaston lake house allows a clear view of the lake from anywhere in the common living space. White cabinetry and backsplash keep it light and bright while the large plank hardwoods add warmth. We used Medallion Cabinetry in this space.
This kitchen is stationed for a crowd to work in. The chef has the center, a helper can man the ovens and prep, there is a beverage counter with sink, beverage fridge, icemaker and hidden coffee and liquor cabinet allowing 4 people to comfortable work in the same space while leaving room on the back of the island and on the peninsula for eating and serving.
The basement kitchenette features Marsh Cabinetry and covers the basics without needed to climb the stairs and is comfortably tucked in the corner of the rec room. Boys and Girls bunk rooms are off to each side and every room has a lake view!
The favorite feature in the master is the toe kick light that comes on when you enter the bath and provides a soft glow of light for those late night visits without having to turn on the harsh overhead lights.

This bathroom renovation kept the vintage ambiance while incorporating a few contemporary finishes. We replaced the pedestal sink with a contemporary square, wall mounted sink & faucet, repainted the radiator in a glamorous silver color, installed octagon-designed floor tiles, new subway tile, designed a sleek medicine cabinet, and installed two shower shelves that were safe and out of reach from the client’s children.

Perfectly configured for seamless entertaining throughout, the apartment opens via private elevator to an oversized great room with a 60' wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sprawling southern views of the Statue of Liberty and One World Trade Center. This great room is divided into two distinct living areas by an exquisite black walnut paneled double sided wood-burning fireplace. Here is a bathroom window made using Decora style Glass Blocks.
Inspiration for a modern bathroom remodel in Chicago
Inspiration for a modern bathroom remodel in Chicago

This kitchen had been remodeled by a previous owner who had installed a lower ceiling to hide new plumbing installed for the bathroom above; as well as the oak cabinets and appliances. This ceiling height made the space Closter phobic for the current husband who is tall. The oak cabinets made the room dark in spite of the 2 large windows. The home owners and I discussed the options for the space. The basic configuration was fine at the cooking end of the room, but storage was lacking and the 48” wide hood was oversized for the cooktop. The other end of the room had an oak table and chairs for casual dining in front of a nice window. The opposite wall had a desk with cabinet storage above used for fine china and serving pieces. The existing wood flooring was to remain.
We concluded that the cabinets should be white to brighten up the space and that the ceiling should be raised as much as possible. We agreed on which base cabinets and wall cabinets should be replaced and that the remaining could be painted. We agreed that all the cabinets should receive new Shaker style white doors and drawer fronts. Much needed storage was achieved with corner lazy Susan’s and deep drawers in the base cabinets. Two new upper cabinets were added on either side of the new microwave/hood with pullouts for spices. The new and existing wall cabinets received a 3 step, Art Deco style crown. All the cabinet pulls are brushed nickel with a curve shape as a nod to the original Art Deco style of the house. The existing stainless dishwasher, wall ovens and side-by-side refrigerator remained. A new undermount sink and faucet was installed.

The unique design concept of A139 is rooted in the basic geometric idea of two interlocking rectangles. This distinctive feature, along with the incorporation of rectangular geometries into the natural environment, sets it apart. The deliberate placement of a few windows in the front enhances privacy, while the addition of wooded and water elements to the facade creates a sober and elegant aesthetic. The project maintains a common language in its materiality: apparent concrete, steel, and wood. The three materials are presented sincerely from the outside of the house and continue on a constant journey through the interior. A139 is adjacent to the spring forest, privileged in its geographical position. We considered that the project’s purpose was that from any point of the house, we would have panoramic views that would serve as ambiance for itself and thus generate “natural pictures.” Our design philosophy for A139 was to seamlessly integrate the forest into the house. To achieve this, we created interior courtyards and spaces, blurring the boundary between the exterior and the interior. This approach not only enhances the living experience but also fosters a harmonious relationship with the natural surroundings. The house’s program is characterized by its social areas on the first floor, which can be combined to generate larger spaces if necessary. On the first floor are four bedrooms, each with a dressing room, bathroom, and terraces overlooking the spring forest. Casa A139 speaks for itself and presents itself honestly, subtly setting the views and ample spaces in the hierarchy by the natural textures of the materials.
