Each of the three houses presents itself as an unexpected world in its own right, closed in on itself and yet a harmonious part of the whole, waiting to be enlivened by lively laughter, animated conversation and playfulness. This territory is a paradise for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. The sheer variety of places and landscapes enables visitors to take excursions on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike. History and architecture enthusiasts can follow an itinerary of strongholds and castles dotted around the area. Lovers of gourmet food will discover a full range of traditional dishes and quality local produce all year round. The rich variety of museums enables exploration into the rural arts, medieval architecture, archaeological finds and contemporary art.

A powder room on the first floor is a joy. We made the most of this small space by making every choice count. The mirror features capiz shells, the vanity is clean and neat, and the flooring a really great marble tile. Choose the right paint color and a window treatment that offers privacy yet filters light, and you've got a functional yet beautiful space that can hold up to the rigors of kids and visitors. This project takes inspiration from the battuto veneziano, and uses ceramic linear inserts to combine creative freedom and geometric rigour. Carnevale Veneziano is matter turned into poetry, with a style that celebrates tradition while skilfully rearticulating it. A retro collection, created for anyone who wants a floor with all the magic of a simple, yet powerful effect.

The Homeowner’s of this St. Marlo home were ready to do away with the large unused Jacuzzi tub and builder grade finishes in their Master Bath and Bedroom. The request was for a design that felt modern and crisp but held the elegance of their Country French preferences. Custom vanities with drop in sinks that mimic the roll top tub and crystal knobs flank a furniture style armoire painted in a lightly distressed gray achieving a sense of casual elegance. Wallpaper and crystal sconces compliment the simplicity of the chandelier and free standing tub surrounded by traditional Rue Pierre white marble tile. As contradiction the floor is 12 x 24 polished porcelain adding a clean and modernized touch. Multiple shower heads, bench and mosaic tiled niches with glass shelves complete the luxurious showering experience.

This custom Arts & Crafts Crown Point Cabinetry kitchen and bar area features, Quartersawn White Oak with a Washington Cherry stained finish. The Island and custom Range Hood both feature, Bee’s Wax over Eco Brown stain and Burnished over Maple. The kitchen and bar area cabinetry have a Craftsman style door with Black Walnut pegs, while the island presents an Old Cupboard door style that blends seamlessly. It’s always a blessing when your clients become friends - and that’s exactly what blossomed out of this two-phase remodel (along with three transformed spaces!). These clients were such a joy to work with and made what, at times, was a challenging job feel seamless. This project consisted of two phases, the first being a reconfiguration and update of their master bathroom, guest bathroom, and hallway closets, and the second a kitchen remodel. In keeping with the style of the home, we decided to run with what we called “traditional with farmhouse charm” – warm wood tones, cement tile, traditional patterns, and you can’t forget the pops of color! The master bathroom airs on the masculine side with a mostly black, white, and wood color palette, while the powder room is very feminine with pastel colors. When the bathroom projects were wrapped, it didn’t take long before we moved on to the kitchen. The kitchen already had a nice flow, so we didn’t need to move any plumbing or appliances. Instead, we just gave it the facelift it deserved! We wanted to continue the farmhouse charm and landed on a gorgeous terracotta and ceramic hand-painted tile for the backsplash, concrete look-alike quartz countertops, and two-toned cabinets while keeping the existing hardwood floors. We also removed some upper cabinets that blocked the view from the kitchen into the dining and living room area, resulting in a coveted open concept floor plan. Our clients have always loved to entertain, but now with the remodel complete, they are hosting more than ever, enjoying every second they have in their home.

This couple contacted me before their little bundle of joy arrived to design their nursery. We started with what used to be a very pink little girl’s room, decorated by the previous owners, and turned it into a contemporary cozy space for their newborn. The carpet flooring was replaced with hardwood maple, a modern baseboard replaced the traditional looking ones, new closet doors with a maple frame and frosted glass inserts replaced the standard white doors and recessed lighting was added to brighten up the once dark room. The couple didn’t want the standard pink or blue nursery, but opted for a more gender neutral and modern color palette. So using my favorite base – grey – we added some foxy orange pops! The maple and grey crib and dresser are Oeuf, the orange glider came from Room and Board, the windows were covered by Room and Board as well and most of the accessories and decor was ordered on Etsy.

A well-maintained lawn, vibrant flowers lining the walkway, and a charming front brick porch adorned with cozy seating was designed and built to create an immediate sense of welcome. The outdoor colors of the exterior hardscapes evoke a feeling of sophistication, tranquility and cheerfulness, especially how it complements the surrounding landscape. A tasteful front door, framed by decorative plants, draws you in and hints at the warmth inside. Details like outdoor lighting, decorative house numbers and seasonal wreath add character and shows that the home is loved and cared for. Each time you pull onto the brick paver driveway, it reminds you of the comfort and joy that awaits inside, making every return feel like a heartfelt reunion. A lifetime of memories will be made here and become some of the most cherished moments in our clients lives as well as their friends and family. Ultimately, it’s the everyday moments—the small, simple pleasures—that weave the fabric of memories in a cozy home, making it a sanctuary filled with love, laughter, and lasting joy.
