Designed a great mud room/entryway area with Kabinart Cabinetry, Arts and Crafts door style, square flat panel, two piece crown application to the ceiling. Paint color chosen was Atlantic, with the Onyx Glaze.

Note handles on Laundry Board are a must due to the weight of the board when lifting into place or removing, as slippery urethane finish made it tough to hold otherwise. 2nd Note: The key to getting a support edge for the butcher-block on the Farm Sink is to have the granite installers measure to the center of the top edge of the farm sink, so that half of the top edge holds the granite, and the other half of the top edge holds the butcher block laundry board. Dedicated laundry room - mid-sized farmhouse single-wall slate floor dedicated laundry room idea in San Diego with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white walls and a side-by-side washer/dryer

One wall is filled with a variety of cnc-cut cabinetry: bookshelves, a tall closet and a horizontal, queen-sized wall bed with storage above and below. The primary heating and cooling is from the incredibly efficient Mitsubishi mini-split unit. Photo by Kate Russell

The layout of this laundry room did not change, functionality did. Inspired by the unique square 9×9 tile seen on the floor, we designed the space to reflect this tile – a modern twist on old-European elegance. Paired with loads of cabinets, a laundry room sink and custom wood top, we created a fun and beautiful space to do laundry for a family of five! Note the the appliance hookups are hidden. To keep a seamless look, our carpentry team custom built the folding table shelf. There is a removable board at the back of the wood countertop that can be removed if the hookups need to be accessed.

The homeowner was used to functioning with a stacked washer and dryer. As part of the primary suite addition and kitchen remodel, we relocated the laundry utilities. The new side-by-side configuration was optimal to create a large folding space for the homeowner. Now, function and beauty are found in the new laundry room. A neutral black countertop was designed over the washer and dryer, providing a durable folding space. A full-height linen cabinet is utilized for broom/vacuum storage. The hand-painted decorative tile backsplash provides a beautiful focal point while also providing waterproofing for the drip-dry hanging rod. Bright brushed brass hardware pop against the blues used in the space.

A small dated bathroom becomes accessible and beautiful. the tub was removed and a Bestbath shower put in it's place. A single bowl smaller vanity replace the old double vanity giving the space more room. A fold down seat and lots of grab bars were added for safety and convenience.
