Our clients desired a sunroom addition to their home, allowing them to enjoy the natural light and scenery of their backyard with the option of staying indoors. This sunroom was built to look original to the home, with a hip roof and matching trim. An extra wide door to the back patio provides ample room to move patio furniture outside. This space is fitted with an extending TV mounted above an electric fireplace. Gorgeous unstained tongue and groove ceilings and travertine-looking ceramic tile complement our clients' vintage décor. Ideal for sipping morning coffee or evening tea, the recessed lighting calmly illuminates this space.
The exterior side of the sunroom extends a pergola with a concrete slab. In addition, the perfect niche was created by transformation of the breezeway. This enclosed area is completed with a window and door accessing the side yard, while providing a secluded sitting area just outside the dining room.

Reclaimed fir doors throughout the house, reclaimed fir trim with traditional craftsman detailing. Reclaimed vanity with granite sink basin and Delta wall mount faucet and West Elm Wall Sconces

This outdoor living project allows our clients to truly enjoy their outdoor space in Rosenberg, TX. On about an acre of land, the covered patio with outdoor kitchen is the perfect spot for sipping morning coffee and enjoying a gentle breeze. The workshop adjacent to the garage was built to look original to the home, and in fact, even has AC! Both projects add much appeal and practicality to this home.
The covered patio, extending from the existing porch cover, was also built to look original to the home with matching cedar wrapped columns with brick bases. Outdoor ceiling fans were wired to this space as well as recessed lights and flood lights. A large kitchen space was built with matching brick, beautiful granite countertops, and a bar seating. With plenty storage and counter space and a large grill, this outdoor kitchen suits our clients' needs.
The original flooring surface was replaced by stamped concrete and continued throughout the remainder of the project.
Later, we returned to build our clients' a workshop space. This space is complete with AC, indoor and outdoor lighting, and a garage door with ramp in the rear for ease of access with large equipment. The entire structure matches the original home, including cedar wrapped columns, partial brick and siding exterior.

At Archadeck of Nova Scotia we love any size project big or small. But, that being said, we have a soft spot for the projects that let us show off our talents! This Halifax house was no exception. The owners wanted a space to suit their outdoor lifestyle with materials to last far into the future. The choices were quite simple: stone veneer, Timbertech composite decking and glass railing.
What better way to create that stability than with a solid foundation, concrete columns and decorative stone veneer? The posts were all wrapped with stone and match the retaining wall which was installed to help with soil retention and give the backyard more definition (it’s not too hard on the eyes either).
A set of well-lit steps will guide you up the multi-level deck. The built-in planters soften the hardness of the Timbertech composite deck and provide a little visual relief. The two-tone aesthetic of the deck and railing are a stunning feature which plays up contrasting tones.
From there it’s a game of musical chairs; we recommend the big round one on a September evening with a glass of wine and cozy blanket.
We haven’t gotten there quite yet, but this property has an amazing view (you will see soon enough!). As to not spoil the view, we installed TImbertech composite railing with glass panels. This allows you to take in the surrounding sights while relaxing and not have those pesky balusters in the way.
In any Canadian backyard, there is always the dilemma of dealing with mosquitoes and black flies! Our solution to this itchy problem is to incorporate a screen room as part of your design. This screen room in particular has space for dining and lounging around a fireplace, perfect for the colder evenings!
Ahhh…there’s the view! From the top level of the deck you can really get an appreciation for Nova Scotia. Life looks pretty good from the top of a multi-level deck. Once again, we installed a composite and glass railing on the new composite deck to capture the scenery.
What puts the cherry on top of this project is the balcony! One of the greatest benefits of composite decking and railing is that it can be curved to create beautiful soft edges. Imagine sipping your morning coffee and watching the sunrise over the water.
If you want to know more about composite decking, railing or anything else you’ve seen that sparks your interest; give us a call! We’d love to hear from you.

Adding an 8' x 4' island to the kitchen area improved the flow of the space and gave guests a place to perch while the homeowner prepped meals. A window seat offers additional seating, or just a good place to sip coffee and read the paper.

This sunroom redefines indoor-outdoor living with comfort and versatility at its core. Designed to be a true extension of the home, the space features a central fireplace that serves as a cozy focal point year-round, inviting relaxation and connection.
A retractable bug screen allows the space to transition seamlessly from a breezy open-air lounge to a protected retreat—perfect for enjoying nature without the nuisance.
Warm wood tones, soft textiles, and a neutral palette make this sunroom feel grounded and serene, while the flexible design ensures it's as functional on a summer morning as it is on a crisp autumn evening. Whether you're sipping coffee at sunrise or gathering around the fire at dusk, this is a space made to be lived in.

These Clayton homeowners transformed their backyard space by adding a delightful deck. They worked with the existing architectural look of columns, stone and tile to recreate this dream space. They took their ideas and worked with our 3D designer to see photo realistic views. That way, they could know exactly what they were creating. And they knew their investment range well before construction. Now they enjoy their backyard much more, sipping wine and having hor d'oeuvres with friends. Imagine watching the sunset in this backyard!
