We made sure to create an inviting space along with Etch Design Group. There was a full gut of the kitchen. This included all cabinetry, countertops, and backsplash. The main focus in this kitchen part of the reno was moving the sink location from the wall to the newly installed island. The new layout included new cabinets painted a beautiful shade of timeless white, on top of those polished Statuario quartz countertops with light veining were installed. These new custom cabinets were customized to the homeowners' specifications for her kitchenware items. Electrically, we installed 6 new LED recessed canned lights and added new outlets to the island to add more lighting in the home.

Kitchens perform multiple functions, first and foremost, we prepare food, but on a much more important level, it is the social hub of the house. This kitchen was designed for a tag team of cooks, with space to congregate and cook, and drink, and laugh. White shaker cabinets are crisp and clean against the gray marble floors and specked gray and white counter tops.

This was an Addition/Renovation for a young couple and their two children, to an existing house that was originally designed and built in 1939. Like many homes of this era, the Kitchen was not developed as a place of family gathering and social interaction, like modern kitchens and life-styles of today, and this was the seed for the desire, by the home owners, when they asked me to help them to ‘Update’ their home.

Where there was once a wall separating the Dining Room and a small bar, our client wanted to open up the spaces to create a more inviting area for dining and socializing. A bigger bar and no walls were in order. Cheers!
