The work of the Greene and Greene brothers represents the pinnacle in American Bungalow Style architecture of the Arts and Crafts period. Occasionally, an existing home presents exciting opportunities for expanding upon this style. This kitchen embodies the soul of Greene and Greene interiors. Located at the center of the house, it opens into the surrounding rooms. Our design embraces the "room within a room" concept. Large, inviting openings blend the kitchen with the adjacent areas, while preserving a focused work environment.
The details developed in the kitchen are carried into the surrounding rooms, establishing the continuity between the spaces. The resulting environment is an artistic expression of warmth, purpose, craftsmanship, and durability. This is the view from the dining area, looking out over the serving piece. The low furniture creates a soft delineation of spaces, and directs the flow of traffic, but was intended primarily for functional serving and storage. Project # 6130.6 Photograph: Phillip Beaurline

"Built in 1920 as a summer cottage-by-the-sea, this classic, north Laguna cottage long outlived its original owners. Now, refreshed and restored, the home echos with the soul of the early 20th century, while giving its surf-focused family the essence of 21st century modern living.
Timeless textures of cedar shingles and wood windows frame the modern interior, itself accented with steel, stone, and sunlight. The best of yesterday and the sensibility of today brought together thoughtfully in a good marriage."

Built in 1896, the original site of the Baldwin Piano warehouse was transformed into several turn-of-the-century residential spaces in the heart of Downtown Denver. The building is the last remaining structure in Downtown Denver with a cast-iron facade. HouseHome was invited to take on a poorly designed loft and transform it into a luxury Airbnb rental. Since this building has such a dense history, it was our mission to bring the focus back onto the unique features, such as the original brick, large windows, and unique architecture.
Our client wanted the space to be transformed into a luxury, unique Airbnb for world travelers and tourists hoping to experience the history and art of the Denver scene. We went with a modern, clean-lined design with warm brick, moody black tones, and pops of green and white, all tied together with metal accents. The high-contrast black ceiling is the wow factor in this design, pushing the envelope to create a completely unique space. Other added elements in this loft are the modern, high-gloss kitchen cabinetry, the concrete tile backsplash, and the unique multi-use space in the Living Room. Truly a dream rental that perfectly encapsulates the trendy, historical personality of the Denver area.

This project earned its name 'The Herringbone House' because of the reclaimed wood accents styled in the Herringbone pattern. This project was focused heavily on pattern and texture. The wife described her style as "beachy buddha" and the husband loved industrial pieces. We married the two styles together and used wood accents and texture to tie them seamlessly. You'll notice the living room features an amazing view of the water and this design concept plays perfectly into that zen vibe. We removed the tile and replaced it with beautiful hardwood floors to balance the rooms and avoid distraction. The owners of this home love Cuban art and funky pieces, so we constructed these built-ins to showcase their amazing collection.

The main focus of this contemporary monochromatic bathroom is the spacious frameless shower with an extended shower bench. It is complemented by other minimalist features such as the modern and angular tub and the beautiful textured and heated tile flooring. The elegant white wavy tiles and the metal-glass glazed hexagon deco strip add to the sophisticated look of the bathroom. Finally, the stylish LED lights, modern floating cabinets, and premium quality brushed nickel faucets and drawer pulls tie the whole spa look together.

A poorly operating bathroom was creating a negative effect on how it was functioning for Tyrone and Veronica. This 120-square-foot bathroom in Atlanta, GA had problems which needed to be addressed. A leaking, moldy shower stall and a large unused jacuzzi tub were the impetus for this bathroom renovation. The lack of storage in the long narrow double vanity with oversized frameless mirror created yet another problem.
Our immediate attention focused on replacing the large double window above the jacuzzi tub with a long narrow 6-foot window. Because the jacuzzi tub was rarely used my clients wanted to remove it; instead, they wanted a 9-foot his and hers double shower. We decided to modify the vanity with a custom-built double vanity with an attached tall linen closet. The linen closet inside the bathroom was then turned it into a shoe closet. There is a lack of storage space in the owner’s suite closet, so we decided to convert the linen closet into a shoe closet.

This striking modern kitchen by Performance Kitchens & Home achieves stunning visual impact through a clean, modern design defined by geometric clarity and a balanced, monochrome palette.
Crisp white perimeter cabinetry and subway tile backsplash amplify the sense of space and light, while a large central island grounds the design with a dramatic black countertop and complementary dark seating. This strategic interplay of light and shadow adds depth while maintaining an airy, cohesive feel. The open layout and sophisticated color scheme make this a timeless and elegant space, perfect for both focused cooking and high-end entertaining—a true reflection of our Gold Standard design approach. A Porcelanosa sink and vanity with a long lit mirror is the focus of this bathroom. Alternating large format tile clad the walls. The shower has a bench and a soap niche. A large skylight over the shower provides natural light in this interior bathroom with no windows.

This commercial tenant improvement was completed in 2016 for locally based international safe manufacturer and retailer. The improvements focused on representing the company’s deep local roots utilizing barnwood and other traditional materials while also representing its forward thinking vision with the creative use of metals, historical safes and polished concrete.

In our Contemporary Bellevue Residence we wanted the aesthetic to be clean and bright. This is a similar plan to our Victoria Crest home with a few changes and different design elements. Areas of focus; large open kitchen with waterfall countertops and awning upper flat panel cabinets, elevator, interior and exterior fireplaces, floating flat panel vanities in bathrooms, home theater room, large master suite and rooftop deck.
