With a footprint of just 450 square feet, this micro residence embodies minimalism and elegance through efficiency. Particular attention was paid to creating spaces that support multiple functions as well as innovative storage solutions. A mezzanine-level sleeping space looks down over the multi-use kitchen/living/dining space as well out to multiple view corridors on the site. To create a expansive feel, the lower living space utilizes a bifold door to maximize indoor-outdoor connectivity, opening to the patio, endless lap pool, and Boulder open space beyond. The home sits on a ¾ acre lot within the city limits and has over 100 trees, shrubs and grasses, providing privacy and meditation space. This compact home contains a fully-equipped kitchen, ¾ bath, office, sleeping loft and a subgrade storage area as well as detached carport.

Reimagined as a quiet retreat on a mixed-use Mission block, this former munitions depot was transformed into a single-family residence by reworking existing forms. A bunker-like concrete structure was cut in half to form a covered patio that opens onto a new central courtyard. The residence behind was remodeled around a large central kitchen, with a combination skylight/hatch providing ample light and roof access. The multiple structures are tied together by untreated cedar siding, intended to gradually fade to grey to match the existing concrete and corrugated steel.

Creation of a new master bathroom, kids’ bathroom, toilet room and a WIC from a mid. size bathroom was a challenge but the results were amazing.
The master bathroom has a huge 5.5'x6' shower with his/hers shower heads.
The main wall of the shower is made from 2 book matched porcelain slabs, the rest of the walls are made from Thasos marble tile and the floors are slate stone.
The vanity is a double sink custom made with distress wood stain finish and its almost 10' long.
The vanity countertop and backsplash are made from the same porcelain slab that was used on the shower wall.
The two pocket doors on the opposite wall from the vanity hide the WIC and the water closet where a $6k toilet/bidet unit is warmed up and ready for her owner at any given moment.
Notice also the huge 100" mirror with built-in LED light, it is a great tool to make the relatively narrow bathroom to look twice its size.

Solid Apollo LED. In this waterfront installation, the owners wanted to bring vibrant lighting to each of the trees lining the river. Each tree has three in-ground LED PathwayPro LED Landscaping Lights in color changing with white (RGB-W) for spectacular colors and white. In this photo, the white is used to bring the most light to each tree. The lights were installed using the RGB-W 5-Wire Waterproof Connectors and is controlled with the DMX Boss LED Controller with Smartphone and Tablet LED lighting control.

This shower design makes a bold architectural statement through pattern, proportion, and material contrast. Vertical and horizontal tile bands create a striking graphic backdrop, adding rhythm and depth while maintaining a clean, tailored aesthetic. The neutral palette keeps the composition grounded, allowing texture and line to take center stage.
A marble bench introduces organic movement through expressive veining, balancing the structured geometry of the tilework. Warm brass plumbing fixtures provide a refined contrast, adding warmth and subtle sophistication against the cool stone and tile surfaces. Frameless glass panels maintain visual openness, allowing the full material story to remain uninterrupted.
The result is a modern, thoughtfully layered shower space that feels both sculptural and highly functional, blending bold design with timeless material choices.

This bathroom pairs bold stonework with refined detailing to create a sophisticated, architectural statement. Dramatic marble wraps the vanity and backsplash, its expressive veining delivering movement and contrast against the clean-lined silhouette. The integrated stone sink reinforces a seamless, monolithic look while elevating the overall design.
Deep-toned cabinetry grounds the composition, accented with warm brass hardware that adds subtle polish and cohesion. A black-framed mirror introduces structure and symmetry, flanked by sculptural sconces that provide soft, flattering light. The layered materials continue into the adjacent shower, where glass and tile contribute depth and texture without overwhelming the space.
The result is a richly layered bath that feels modern, tailored, and timeless, balancing bold material choices with thoughtful refinement.

The key to this project was to create a kitchen fitting of a residence with strong Industrial aesthetics. The PB Kitchen Design team managed to preserve the warmth and organic feel of the home’s architecture. The sturdy materials used to enrich the integrity of the design, never take away from the fact that this space is meant for hospitality. Functionally, the kitchen works equally well for quick family meals or large gatherings. But take a closer look at the use of texture and height. The vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses bring an additional element of awe to this already stunning kitchen.

This white kitchen is grounded by the dark espresso island. Carrara marble island with wine storage on the side create a beautiful contrast to the white cabinets with the silestone grey countertops and herringbone backsplash tile. This kithchen renovation included the removal of a load bearing wall to open it up and make it feel bright and airy.
