The view through the frameless glass door says everything about this sauna. Every surface inside the 7×7 clear cedar room — walls, ceiling, floating benches — is aromatic clear cedar. LED strip lighting runs beneath each bench, creating that warm, even amber glow you see here. The duckboard floor, the ladle resting on the upper bench, the layered bench heights — all of it is exactly right. The airy plan offers spaciousness in a limited-fronted site of the American foursquare house. The goal for the design was creating a contemporary foursquare style house. The family room and kitchen of this American foursquare interior are separated by a glassy built-in rather than walls, encouraging visual connection between the spaces in the four square house. Though nestled in the city, this American foursquare home feels like a classic country home.

A closer look at the Harvia Spirit SP90E electric heater, frameless glass door, and temperature/humidity gauges mounted to the cedar wall.
