Embracing the vintage, and her love for Shabby Chic style, this coastal beach client wanted to retain her original stove, as well as her original kitchen cabinets. We also kept all her vintage china and old appliances. We removed the old tile counter and backsplash, and replaced them with a butcherblock countertop from IKEA, and beadboard backsplash. The farmhouse sink and bridge faucet and vintage style chandelier were also purchased for the new space. Since my client doesn't use the old stove very often, she opted for no hood above the stove. The breakfast nook is quite tiny yet still suitable for morning breakfasts for two.

This master bathroom was part of a total home renovation for my clients. The old master bathroom was more like something from a motel with the lone sink and counter open to the bedroom, outside of the smaller room that held the shower and toilet. As part of the construction, the bedroom was enlarged and consequently we were able to build a proper master bathroom with an actual door. Starting from scratch gave us the opportunity to create a space that is tranquil, clean-lined, and elegant without being fussy. The floor and tub are clad in grey and white Letoon marble from Turkey. A matching basketweave marble was placed as an accent in the shower and in a “rug” on the floor. Sconces with fabric shades bring softness while the petite chandelier over the whirlpool tub gives sparkle, luxury and glamour. And the rich wood of the custom vanity grounds the space.

Collaborative vision and thoughtful design went into every detail of this Rancho Santa Fe remodel. Clean lines and modern furnishings added a youthful style to traditional architecture. The chrome hood, display cabinet, and hardware set the elevated tone and sparkle along with clean, fresh cabinetry detailing. This design transformation exceeded our client's expectations.

If you fear that a variety of materials and colors will look “too busy”, then consider this masterpiece of mixed elements that created a warm, rich, and layered one-of-a kind environment. Custom cabinetry combines frameless full overlay with flush inset construction; doors are both Shaker and slab. While most of the perimeter is lightly-stained rift cut white oak, the island and paneled backsplashes are Farrow & Ball’s “School House White”; the hutch is their pale blue-gray “Pigeon”. Two styles of Honey Bronze hardware comingle with the hutch’s simple polished nickel knobs. Open hutch shelves are rift cut oak; their gallery rails are brass. Faucets are polished nickel and the island pendant is aged iron.
Even the countertops display variation: the sink wall, cooking nook and hutch are “Bianco Extra” marble, 2” thick with waterfall ends at the sink; 2” thick slabs with standard overhangs at the rangetop; and a thinner slab with traditional ogee edges on the hutch. Offering contrast on the island is 2” thick honed and leathered “Jet Mist” granite.
The charming vent hood incorporates a scalloped detail and more oak. Slender furniture legs enhance the hutch, while 4” brass cuffs on the square island legs add sparkle.

Transitional bedroom featuring a Rustic Glam style by blending weathered and worn with sparkle and glimmer. What started as a blank canvas and dark moody cave is now a light-filled serene and cozy space. Project includes: New French wood floors, clerestory window, French patio doors, recessed lighting, decorative lighting, fireplace feature wall and all custom bedding, furniture, dog bed, accessories and finishing touches designed by LMOH Home. This open concept breakfast area off the kitchen is the hardest working room in the house. The show stopping sea glass chandelier sparkles as light streams in the windows overlooking the pool area. A pair of original abstract artwork in blue and white adorn the space. We mixed Sunbrella outdoor fabric chairs with leather seats that can be wiped off when the inevitable spill happens. An outdoor rug hides crumbs while standing up the wet feet tracking in from the adjacent patio and pool area.

This kitchen was formerly a dark paneled, cluttered, divided space with little natural light. By eliminating partitions and creating a more functional, open floorplan, as well as adding modern windows with traditional detailing, providing lovingly detailed built-ins for the clients extensive collection of beautiful dishes, and lightening up the color palette we were able to create a rather miraculous transformation. The wide plank salvaged pine floors, the antique french dining table, as well as the Galbraith & Paul drum pendant and the salvaged antique glass monopoint track pendants all help to provide a warmth to the crisp detailing.

The soft green opalescent tile in the shower and on the floor creates a subtle tactile geometry, in harmony with the matte white paint used on the wall and ceiling; semi gloss is used on the trim for additional subtle contrast. The sink has clean simple lines while providing much-needed accessible storage space. A clear frameless shower enclosure allows unobstructed views of the space.

This bath offers generous space without going overboard in square footage. The homeowner chose to go with a large double vanity and a nice shower with custom features and a shower seat and decided to forgo the typical big soaking tub. The vanity area shown in this photo has plenty of storage within the mirrored wall cabinets and the large drawers below. The mirrors were cased out with the matching woodwork and crown detail. The countertop is Crema Marfil slab marble with undermount Marzi sinks. The Kallista faucetry was chosen in chrome since it was an easier finish to maintain for years to come. Other metal details were done in the oil rubbed bronze to work with the theme through out the home. The floor tile is a 12 x 12 Bursa Beige Marble that is set on the diagonal. The backsplash to the vanity is the companion Bursa Beige mini running bond mosaic with a cap also in the Bursa Beige marble. Vaulted ceilings add to the dramatic feel of this bath. The bronze and crystal chandelier also adds to the dramatic glamour of the bath.

This gray and white family kitchen has touches of gold and warm accents. The Diamond Cabinets that were purchased from Lowes are a warm grey and are accented with champagne gold Atlas cabinet hardware. The Taj Mahal quartzite countertops have a nice cream tone with veins of gold and gray. The mother or pearl diamond mosaic tile backsplash by Jeffery Court adds a little sparkle to the small kitchen layout. The island houses the glass cook top with a stainless steel hood above the island. The white appliances are not the typical thing you see in kitchens these days but works beautifully. This family friendly casual kitchen brings smiles.

A small bathroom is given a clean, bright, and contemporary look. Storage was key to this design, so we made sure to give our clients plenty of hidden space throughout the room. We installed a full-height linen closet which, thanks to the pull-out shelves, stays conveniently tucked away as well as vanity with U-shaped drawers, perfect for storing smaller items.
The shower also provides our clients with storage opportunity, with two large shower niches - one with four built-in glass shelves. For a bit of sparkle and contrast to the all-white interior, we added a copper glass tile accent to the second niche.

Designed by Cameron Snyder, CKD and Julie Lyons.
Removing the former wall between the kitchen and dining room to create an open floor plan meant the former powder room tucked in a corner needed to be relocated.
Cameron designed a 7' by 6' space framed with curved wall in the middle of the new space to locate the new powder room and it became an instant focal point perfectly located for guests and easily accessible from the kitchen, living and dining room areas.
Both the pedestal lavatory and one piece sanagloss toilet are from TOTO Guinevere collection. Faucet is from the Newport Brass-Bevelle series in Polished Nickel with lever handles.
