This is a lovely home in Arlington, VA where we recently completed a full renovation of the kitchen and dining room area, and refinished the hardwood floors on the main living level.

This vintage style floor cushion is cut from a hand loomed Boujad rug with. A warm pinkish cream background features a black diamond grid pattern with neon pink and forest green, bright blue and yellow accents. A cotton backer forms a sturdy base panel. In Boujad tradition floor cushions are used as dining 'chairs' to create inviting areas to eat, relax and connect. Our floor cushions are hand-dyed and woven by Boujad artisans living and working in the Atlas mountains. This small kitchen and powder room maximize light and life in a small live-work loft in San Francisco. The minimalist cabinetry design in sleek white acrylic and rich walnut let the textures of wood and stone stand out in the bright natural light. The built-in dining area maximizes clear floor area and connects the raised living area with the kitchen. The stone hexagon floor carries over into the powder room and blends with a three-dimensional porcelain tile that is as spontaneous and fun as the client.

Netta Architects designed this residence a 3 story 5,000 square foot house located on the apex of the Atlantic Highlands, overlooking the Raritan Bay. The location of the house relates to the land in a very spontaneous way, taking advantage of its slope, the surrounding natural wooded environment, and the expansive view over the Bay. The interior consists of an open floor plan, which is amply glazed to the outside, and accentuates large, functional and multipurpose spaces. The strategic location of the first and second floor terraces present a park like atmosphere and affords the occupants a quiet place to relax and decompress. Very simple, yet elegant materials are utilized on the exterior which allows the structure to assume a sense of place within the beautiful surrounding environment. The Residence is currently being considered for an AIA Residential Design Award.
