This mid-century stunner was featured in the prestigious 2018 AIA Minnesota "Homes By Architects" tour. The intention was to create a "a strong organic connection between indoors and out." This connection was certainly amplified with the inclusion of a modern granite Harbor Grey™ stone patio, generously sized to accomodate entertaining under the stars. Also featured is our Alder™ Limestone wall stone.

An award-winning Lake Michigan lakefront retreat, designed by Visbeen Architects, Inc. and built by Insignia Homes in 2011.
It won the Best Overall Home, Detroit Home Design Awards 2011 and features a large porch equipped with Phantom`s Executive motorized retractable screens, coupled with an expansive outdoor deck, to make outdoor entertaining a breeze.
The screens' tracks, recessed into the porch columns, enable the screens to stay completely out of sight until needed.

CRAFTSMAN STYLING influences the oak kitchen in the Bixby Knolls house plan, a Craftsman design by Mark Wyatt. The kitchen has inset doors and drawers to compliment the classic theme. The heart of the space is designed around shelves that are OPEN-BACKED to allow daylight to filter through casement windows. A CENTRAL ARCHED CABINET, not connected to the overhead soffit, seems to float in space - appearing to be supported only by shelves to either side. One of the features of the CRAFTSMAN KITCHEN is the ARCHED SOFFIT and double-door cabinet with arched doors. The kitchen Wyatt designed makes the perfect gathering place in this Craftsman styled house plan.
A LENGTHY ISLAND - stretching more than 10-feet, has a single-height surface to make entertaining and meal prep a snap. And in keeping with the vintage Craftsman style, GLASS TILES add a splash of color to the full-height backsplash.

This "His" and "Hers" master bathroom is the perfect mix of masculine and feminine. The Glam comes in through the sparkling glass framed mirrors, silver jewelry-like pulls and the luxury of double shower heads and bath with hand-shower. What makes Him happy is the use of natural materials such as travertine and driftwood, clean lines and the ample, easy-to-access storage. What makes Her happy, here is no more clutter on the counter with everything within easy reach. Another great thing about this bathroom is the neutral finishes would be equally beautiful with peaceful blue-green walls or fiery burnt orange ones.

The owners of this traditional rambler in Reston wanted to open up their main living areas to create a more contemporary feel in their home. Walls were removed from the previously compartmentalized kitchen and living rooms. Ceilings were raised and kept intact by installing custom metal collar ties.
Hickory cabinets were selected to provide a rustic vibe in the kitchen. Dark Silestone countertops with a leather finish create a harmonious connection with the contemporary family areas. A modern fireplace and gorgeous chrome chandelier are striking focal points against the cobalt blue accent walls.

This stunning kitchen exhibits elegance at every turn.
Surrounded by multiple "raised panel" style cabinets, is this suite of professional refrigeration for beverage and home.
The stainless steel "finish" works beautifully in this traditional/transitional space and is further complimented by the vertically placed hardware.
Crown molding, with "egg and dart" motif detail caps the wall and adds to the elegance of this room.
Orb pendant fixtures enhance the curved lines through out the space and are a great juxtaposition to the dark wood grained island.

This kitchen was designed to function around a large family. The owners spend their weekend prepping large meals with extended family, so we gave them as much countertop space to prep and cook as we could. Tall cabinets, a secondary banks of drawers, and a bar area, were placed to the connecting space from the kitchen to the dining room for additional storage. Finally, a light wood and selective accents were chosen to give the space a light and airy feel.
