Leather Description: Dyes and waxes are hand applied to South American raw material to impart a transparent clarity. This coupled with substrate gives the leather a sophisticated, pebble grain appearance. All of the aniline dyes applied to the hides are hand rubbed in North Carolina by skilled artisans drawing from years of creative experience creating an impressive patina. The absence of pigments adds to the natural softness of the hides. A light protective top, utilizing a proprietary formulation developed by the tannery creates the exquisite touch Legends is know for and makes the leather suitable for active family homes. Because of the depth and transparency of this leather, natural markings will be exposed and should not be confused as defects or deficiencies, but appreciated as Nature's Autograph of Authenticity found in the finest full grain leathers.
Embossed Leather Description: The leather hide is first embossed with an ostrich pattern and then colored by applying two base color coats of micro pigments. The leather is then wiped-off to give it a contrast of colors utilizing the base color combination. This color contrast is further accented by two additional top coat colors that are wiped-on by hand to give the leather a beautiful antique look. The last step is to slightly protect the hand work of the leather hide with a lacquer topcoat that provides great depth and warmth to the finished product.
100% top grain cowhide leather is characterized by variations in shade, texture, color and grain. Healed marks and scars are to be expected and enhance the natural beauty of the hides. These variations should not be considered defects as they are normal and unique features of genuine 100% top grain cowhide leather.
Frame Construction: Made with American Alder Wood, our frames are glued, screwed and dowelled at the joints. Two coats of high quality stain is hand rubbed on the wood finish and then sealed with industrial grade clear coat.

Leather Description: A fully drum dyed top grain cowhide on European raw material. This leather is lightly ironed and then milled extensively for a unique distressed appearance. This is a natural full grain leather. The hides have not been altered in any way during the tanning process. Shade variation is normal and areas of hides absorb dyes differently, so natural dye lot variations will occur. Remember that a swatch is a general representation of the leather's color and texture, not an exact match. Scars, marks, and branding are not flaws but rather are proof of authenticity, what we call "hallmarks of the trail". Leathers will fade if exposed to direct sunlight. This is a pull up leather which means color diffusion and "burst" will occur when worked by hand. If any of these characteristics is a problem please consider a "painted" leather. One that has been corrected and heavily pigmented.
Embossed Leather Description: A leather used to accent many of today's home interiors. The leather hide is first embossed with a large crocodile grain and then colored by applying two base color coats of micro pigments. Here are some recommendations for keeping your countertop beautiful for a good time. Like every wood, maintenance depends a lot on how it is used. No matter what kind of sealant we apply liquids always win (with only one exception, an epoxy coating that looks like plastic, not very attractive).
- I recommend always using coasters, keeping hot pans away from the surface, and never letting water sits on them.
- For cleaning just a light mixture of soap and water and NEVER use harsh products like comet or Scotch Bright pads.
If you follow the recommendations the countertop will look fresh and clean for at least 2 years and then you may want to consider re-sanding and coating again which is super easy with Rubio Monocoat oil finish.
There is also a great maintenance oil developed by Rubio Monocoat - “Rubio Monocoat Renew” that refreshes, restores, and protects surfaces treated with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C (the one we use for all our furniture).
It’s recommended whenever the surface feels too dry or rough and it is super easy to apply in 3 steps:
1- Clean and dry the surface
2- Apply the oil using cloth rags, brush, or sponge
3- With kitchen tissue or cotton cloth remove all the excess oil within 10-15 min.
The surface should be dry after 6-8 hours.

When these homeowners needed new appliances, they used the opportunity to elevate their kitchen with a luxury partial remodel rooted in timeless Old World Mediterranean design. Since they had no plans to move, the goal was to create a more refined, functional kitchen that felt warm, intentional, and beautifully integrated with the existing home. By preserving the perimeter cabinetry and tile flooring, every new design decision was carefully selected to create a cohesive, custom-looking kitchen renovation.
To enhance the existing cherry-stained cabinetry and eliminate the dust-collecting gap above the wall cabinets, we added 12 inches of layered crown molding, professionally stained to match the dark cherry finish. This created a seamless built-in appearance and added architectural richness to the luxury kitchen design. A bronze and glass multi-shelf display unit extended the visual line of the wall cabinetry, while a new 24-inch-deep cabinet above the refrigerator improved storage. The base cabinetry was also expanded with a beverage refrigerator and upgraded rollout drawers for more efficient, everyday kitchen functionality.
Because the original island cabinetry was not functioning well for the homeowners, it was replaced with a custom kitchen island designed for beauty, storage, and performance. The new island cabinets were painted in an elegant gray-green finish, creating a refined contrast with the dark cherry perimeter cabinetry. Slender pullouts flanking the range keep spices and utensils organized within easy reach, while relocating the microwave below the island freed valuable counter space. On the seating side, tile was added beneath the island to protect the cabinetry from scuffs, creating a durable, thoughtful detail that supports everyday entertaining.
A major luxury kitchen upgrade was replacing the failing island downdraft ventilation with a powerful ceiling-mounted statement hood. Custom made in hammered aged copper with graceful lines and dark bronze detailing, the ventilation hood became the dramatic focal point of the kitchen while complementing the cherry cabinetry and enhancing the Old World Mediterranean aesthetic.
The homeowners had always disliked their double-bowl sink, so it was replaced with a large single workstation sink that dramatically improved prep, cleanup, and daily usability. The double wall ovens were upgraded to a steam oven and convection oven, while the lower drawer was replaced with a warming drawer that quickly became the client’s favorite and most-used appliance. These premium appliance upgrades brought modern performance into the timeless kitchen renovation.
For the first time, the kitchen gained a backsplash, adding another layer of texture, polish, and luxury detail. A warm neutral polished marble tile in a large arabesque pattern offered a subtle nod to Mediterranean design while softening the transition between the dark cherry cabinetry, painted island, and updated appliances.
The final finishing touch was replacing the outdated hardware. The original small round knobs on the 48-inch-tall wall cabinets were swapped for antique pewter linear pulls with an aged, muted finish, reinforcing the Old World kitchen style while giving the cabinetry a more tailored, elevated look.
Every detail in this luxury kitchen remodel was chosen to refine the space, improve flow, and enhance functionality while making the new elements feel original to the home. The result is a warm, inviting, Old World Mediterranean kitchen that feels timeless, highly tailored, and beautifully suited to homeowners who love to cook and entertain.

Great spacious bathroom with lot of amenities.

The Kitchen in this residence had to be outstanding for the owner’s ego and provide a template of future styles. We scoured kitchen showrooms from New York to Los Angeles to see cutting edge design, gadgets and layouts. After much consideration and given our long-standing relationship, we worked with New England Custom Cabinets, our go to contractor for custom millwork. We worked tirelessly with them to create the dream kitchen. The limited amount of space available in this waterfront home challenged us to not only make the best use of the available space, but also to make each space highly functional.
In order to create the desired aesthetic and still provide storage, we created a floor to ceiling Wegne bank of cabinetry concealing the refrigerator and freezer and incorporating a pantry with a hidden pocket door and an appliance cabinet that has a one of a kind folding mechanism that allows it to sit flat against the adjacent wall. The Wenge cabinetry has a matte finish and is replicated in the cabinet paneling under the Princess White marble double waterfall island.
To contrast the dark wood finish, the rest of the kitchen is completed in a high gloss polyester hand buffed white finish with walnut interiors. The upper cabinets appear to float on the three dimensional tile backsplash purchased directly from a vendor in Spain. The special touch latch magic hydraulic openers lift the cabinets vertically and are closed by the touch of a button as well. This is a feature that is years ahead on the design curve. All drawers and drawer fronts are installed using Blum’s Servo-Drive electronic opening system. Hafele LED interior cabinet lighting is applied throughout.
Wow – State of the Art, High Tech Appliances that the owner and his friends are still figuring out. The kitchen is fitted out with Gagganeu appliances incorporating an induction cooktop and a state of the art electronic drop down exhaust hood. The microwave, special high-tech oven and warming drawer will keep the owner and his friends reading manuals for years to come. The perimeter counter tops are finished in the innovative Dekton indestructible man-made stone. All base cabinets have electronic openers and automatically light up upon opening. The square flush mounted recessed lights by Tech Lighting accentuate the clean lines of the kitchen. Two hand blown glass and brushed aluminum pendants from California illuminate the beautiful marble waterfall island. Unique toe kick lighting is also incorporated to illuminate the base as a nightlight and accent feature. In order to keep the ceiling “uncluttered” seamless speakers by SpeakerCraft was utilized. The audio, television and lighting are all controlled by Control4 Smart System, which is incorporated throughout the house. The select rift white oak planks in long lengths are finished in a special brushed patina with a gray stain to give the floors a natural driftwood finish.
The kitchen exceeds the owner, his friends and family’s expectations for design, function and format.

The grey trend has evolved in the last twelve months. Nowadays browns, beige and a touch of grey are in demand. Greige is the new buzzword.
Heavier hand scraped or contoured products, the rage that started around 2005 has taken a back seat in most areas, while a softer wire brushed "ceruse effect" seen mostly on White Oak has been remarkably strong showing no effects of becoming “dated” like the others mentioned.
Ceruse Color Possibilities
There are numerous color combinations to the "cerused" process with the most popular being white or off white. This design trend in hardwood flooring can have darker gray white oak with a mild ceruse off white effect.
There are limitless possibilities in either a prefinished hardwood floor or with what we can create for you in a custom on-site finished hardwood floor.

Coastal Farmhouse New Construction Home | Jupiter Farms, FL
This custom new construction home in Jupiter Farms was designed to balance timeless craftsmanship with relaxed coastal farmhouse living. While the project included custom cabinetry and design detailing throughout the entire home, the kitchen and great room became standout focal points that showcase the warmth, scale, and architectural character carried throughout the residence.
The homeowners envisioned a bright and welcoming home that felt elevated yet comfortable — combining handcrafted traditional details with clean modern functionality. To achieve this, the home features handcrafted Amish-built inset cabinetry with a beaded inset shaker profile, carefully designed to create a furniture-quality appearance throughout the main living spaces.
The kitchen perimeter cabinetry was finished in Sherwin-Williams Greek Villa, a soft warm white that complements the home’s natural light and expansive vaulted ceilings. A contrasting flat cut white oak island introduces warmth and organic texture, grounding the space while reinforcing the home’s coastal farmhouse aesthetic.
The oversized island was designed as the heart of the home — serving as a gathering space for entertaining, family meals, and everyday living. Extensive custom storage solutions were integrated throughout the kitchen, including double-stacked upper cabinetry with glass display sections, hidden trash pull-outs, integrated refrigerator panels, pocket doors at the coffee station, roll-out pantry trays, and abundant custom drawer storage.
Architectural detailing was a major focus throughout the project. Layered crown molding, decorative furniture base molding, inset construction, integrated lighting, and custom wood detailing create depth and craftsmanship that feel both timeless and highly tailored. Vertical integrated LED lighting within the pantries and coffee bar was incorporated to enhance functionality while adding warmth and dimension to the cabinetry.
The adjacent great room carries the same design language with custom built-ins painted to match the kitchen perimeter cabinetry and floating white oak shelves coordinated to the island finish. Integrated LED shelf lighting and vertical panel detailing create a warm architectural focal point while maintaining the clean, airy atmosphere of the home.
Natural wood tones, soft whites, woven statement lighting, and layered textures throughout the residence create a refined yet approachable environment that perfectly suits the relaxed Jupiter Farms lifestyle. The result is a cohesive custom home that feels elegant, timeless, and deeply livable.

## I. Spatial Composition & Architectural Volume
This bedroom operates as an exercise in controlled asymmetry, its plan organized around a freestanding headboard wall that reads less as partition than as inhabited architecture. Framed in a crisp oak reveal that traces its full perimeter, the wall detaches from the ceiling plane and terminates short of the right-hand elevation, generating a threshold that draws the eye into a secondary corridor volume beyond. This device — the *poché* wall as spatial pivot — establishes a layered enfilade: the intimate sleeping zone in the foreground, a transitional dressing passage in the middle distance, and a slot of daylight at the terminus. The ceiling is articulated with a shallow recessed tray and delicate stepped cornice, a restrained gesture toward classical Parisian *moulure* that regulates the room's proportion without ornamental excess. Sightlines are deliberately choreographed: the bed sits low and horizontal, the joinery plinth of the nightstand cantilevers from the wall to preserve floor-plane continuity, and the herringbone parquet visible beyond the threshold introduces a directional pull that animates what would otherwise be a static rectilinear volume. The result is a composition of nested frames — millwork within millwork — that lends considerable depth to a comparatively compact footprint.
## II. Materiality, Color & Texture
The palette is tonal rather than chromatic, calibrated within a narrow band of oatmeal, greige, and pale putty, and enlivened almost entirely through surface incident. The dominant wallcovering — a vertically striated, marquetry-like textile of tessellated ivory and taupe fibers — supplies a subtle warp-and-weft rhythm that shifts under raking light, functioning as texture masquerading as pattern. Against this, rift-sawn white oak framing introduces a honeyed, gently reddish undertone, while the bespoke bedside cabinet deploys a radiating sunburst veneer in a blush-tinged walnut or eucalyptus, its book-matched geometry providing the room's single moment of overt figuration. Textiles carry the tonal counterweight: the channel-tufted headboard in a muted heather-aubergine linen offers the deepest saturation in the frame, cooling the prevailing warmth, while cotton percale with contrast tape borders, a slubbed lumbar cushion, and a hand-stitched matelassé coverlet with tambour scrollwork build a gradient of tactility from crisp to plush. The doorway's parchment-and-verdigris art panel — appearing as a gilded, oxidized *gessoed* screen — supplies a patinated, almost frescoed counterpoint, while unlacquered brass at the sconce introduces the only metallic warmth, deliberately restrained.
## III. Lighting, Atmosphere & Style Profile
Illumination is handled with notable discretion. Natural light enters obliquely from an off-frame source at right, filtered through a floor-to-ceiling striated linen drapery that diffuses rather than admits, producing an even, shadowless wash consistent with northern European daylight. A secondary aperture — the narrow vertical slot glimpsed down the corridor — acts as a luminous punctuation mark, terminating the sightline with a slender bar of brightness that draws the occupant forward. Artificial lighting is intentionally sparse and task-oriented: a brass scissor-arm sconce with an unbleached linen shade, adjustable and near-vernacular in its mechanism, provides articulated reading light while contributing a note of atelier informality against the otherwise refined joinery. The absence of visible downlights or decorative pendants reinforces the room's quietude. Stylistically, the scheme resolves into a sophisticated **Soft Minimalism** inflected with contemporary Parisian classicism — the restraint and tonal discipline of the former, the millwork rigor and proportional literacy of the latter, warmed by a *wabi*-adjacent appreciation for patina and handwork. It is a room that eschews statement in favor of atmosphere, achieving luxury through material intelligence and the calibrated withholding of contrast.

Creating a dream bedroom involves more than just selecting furniture and color schemes; it’s about curating every detail to reflect your personal style and provide comfort. One of the most impactful elements in achieving this is choosing the right area rug. Whether you envision a serene sanctuary or a chic retreat, the perfect rug can enhance your bedroom decor and make a striking statement.
Imagine stepping into a bedroom where the first thing that greets you is a luxurious hand-tufted rug, its rich textures and plush pile inviting you to sink your toes into its softness. Hand-tufted rugs offer not only comfort but also a touch of artistry, with designs that can range from contemporary geometric patterns to traditional motifs. For those who appreciate the craftsmanship of a bygone era, hand-knotted rugs bring an unparalleled level of detail and durability, making them timeless treasures in any bedroom setting.
If a more modern or transitional look is what you’re after, machine-woven and heat-set rugs provide both style and practicality. These rugs, available in various patterns and vibrant colors, are designed to maintain their appearance and texture with minimal maintenance. Machine-washable options add an extra layer of convenience, ensuring that your rug remains fresh and clean even in the most active spaces.
For a touch of classic elegance, consider flat-woven rugs such as kilims, known for their reversible design and lightweight feel. These rugs offer a textured look and can seamlessly blend into both traditional and contemporary decors. Hand-loomed rugs also fall into this category, offering a handcrafted quality that adds uniqueness to your bedroom while maintaining a sophisticated edge.
Shag and flokati rugs are perfect for those who value comfort and a cozy ambiance. Their long, plush fibers create a sumptuous feel underfoot, making them ideal for creating a warm and inviting space. Meanwhile, braided and hand-hooked rugs add an artisanal charm and a bit of rustic flair, while organic and distressed designs bring a natural, lived-in feel to the room.
When selecting your area rug, it’s important to consider practical features to enhance both safety and durability. Non-slip and adhesive backings ensure that your rug stays securely in place, protecting hardwood floors from potential damage. Water-resistant and stain-resistant properties make these rugs practical choices for busy bedrooms, while cushioned options add an extra layer of comfort.
Personalization is key in making a space uniquely yours. Rug sets, including options sized like 8x10, allow you to create a cohesive look that fits perfectly within your room's dimensions. Whether you opt for contemporary designs with fringe details or traditional patterns with intricate textures, there’s a rug that can meet your needs.
In summary, the 15 best area rugs are not just about covering the floor; they’re about adding personality and comfort to your bedroom. With a variety of styles ranging from modern to traditional, and features that cater to both aesthetic and functional needs, the right rug can transform your bedroom into a personal oasis of style and comfort.

Modern Style your living room or bedroom into an exquisite retreat with the perfect area rug, an essential element that combines both style and practicality. A thoughtfully selected rug not only anchors the space but also infuses it with warmth, texture, and personality. Whether you're enhancing a cozy bedroom or designing a spacious living area, choosing the right rug is crucial to creating a harmonious and inviting environment.
The design of your area rug can profoundly influence the overall ambiance of your room. For a touch of opulence, consider hand-tufted or hand-knotted rugs, which are renowned for their intricate patterns and luxurious textures. These rugs, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, make a sophisticated statement in any setting. If a contemporary aesthetic appeals to you, machine-woven rugs are an excellent choice. They are available in an array of vibrant patterns and hues and are engineered to endure high foot traffic with their durable heat-set fibers. For a versatile and classic option, flat-woven rugs, such as kilims, offer a reversible design that seamlessly integrates with both modern and traditional decor.
When selecting a rug, the choice of material significantly impacts both its look and feel. Shag and flokati rugs are ideal for creating a sumptuous, inviting atmosphere. Their long, soft fibers provide unparalleled comfort underfoot, enhancing the coziness of your living room or bedroom. Hand-loomed rugs deliver unique textures and artisanal craftsmanship, while braided and hand-hooked rugs bring a delightful, handcrafted charm. For ease of maintenance, machine washable rugs are highly practical. They allow for effortless cleaning and help maintain a pristine appearance with minimal effort.
In addition to aesthetics, the functionality of your rug is paramount. Stain-resistant and water-resistant rugs are perfect for managing spills and everyday wear, ensuring your rug remains pristine over time. Non-slip and adhesive backings are crucial for safety, particularly on hardwood floors, preventing any risk of slipping and ensuring the rug stays securely in place. Furthermore, cushioned rugs enhance comfort, making your space not only stylish but also extraordinarily comfortable.
Personalize your space with bespoke or custom rug options. An 8x10 area rug is ideal for covering substantial areas and can be customized to fit specific dimensions or design preferences. Custom features, such as elegant fringe details or organic textures, allow you to craft a rug that reflects your unique style and complements your existing decor.
The selection of the top 15 area rugs available today encompasses a wide range of styles and features to meet diverse needs. From distressed designs that impart character to sleek contemporary patterns that offer a modern touch, there is a rug to suit every taste. Large rugs for living rooms and bedrooms can define and unify the space, while oversized carpets can create a dramatic focal point. Consider the practical aspects of each rug to ensure it not only enhances your decor but also withstands the rigors of daily use.
Ultimately, selecting the ideal area rug involves a delicate balance between aesthetic appeal and functional utility. Whether you opt for a luxurious hand-tufted piece, a resilient machine-woven design, or a versatile flat-woven style, the right rug will elevate your living space into a stylish and comfortable haven. By exploring a variety of options and carefully considering both design and practicality, you can find the perfect rug to transform your room into a beautifully appointed retreat.
