Francesca from Elliot Biddle envisioned this statement piece with a deep and calming colour and textural excitement which we brought to life. The made to measure cabinet features fabulous finishes, customised storage, elegant lighting and even an integrated undercounter fridge to keep beverages cold and ready to enjoy.

Meticulously crafted the built-in drinks dresser has an aesthetically pleasing symmetrical design with shaker style doors for timeless style and superior quality. The result is a dining room unit that creates a welcoming, functional and impressive backdrop for the homeowner’s gatherings and parties.
EXQUISITE MATERIALS ENHANCE THE FURNITURE
The large dining room cabinet has been flawlessly spray finished in Mylands Mayfair Dark, a sumptuous indigo colour. Made from natural earth pigments the paint is eco-friendly as well as providing an authentically rich warm blue.
The mirrored backs are Milano Antique mirror glass from Saligo Design. The reflective finish has a vibrantly distressed appearance with intricate swirling patterns in earthy colour tones. The mirror glass finish also makes an ideal splashback while also accentuating the light. The countertop is made from Gerald Culliford’s Marron Cohiba stone. This distinctive, elegant granite has a dark antique look with an organic jigsaw pattern. Beautiful and durable, it is exceptionally resistant to staining and scratches making it ideal for a dining room surface.

Powell ConstructionEverywhere you look, there is a stunning statement piece to behold! This kitchen showcases distinct custom-made items, including a striking chandelier, dining table, and a large copper range hood. A stunning copper corner sink, 48” Italian range, and the integrated (paneled) appliances are other unique features that make this space so exceptional. The custom cabinetry around the perimeter of the kitchen is a muted, sage green, bordered by full-height backsplash tile. Perimeter countertops are a light white quartz with subtle black veining, keeping the space bright and providing a low-maintenance, durable workspace. Inspired by the style of New England, we selected brick floors for this kitchen, a design element very typical of that region.
The cabinet design balances plenty of open and closed storage. In the corner of the kitchen, there is a roll up appliance garage which conceals the microwave and other small countertop appliances. Another special feature in this kitchen is the bar/prep space where barware and serveware can be displayed behind glass front doors. Conveniently located across from this is an integrated beverage fridge which allows guests to conveniently grab a drink whenever they like.
The L-shaped cherry island was stained a warm and rich color, providing a striking contrast to the soft sage tones of the perimeter cabinetry. The island countertop is a bold Brazilian Smoke Soapstone, which harmonizes well with the oil-rubbed bronze elements throughout. The soapstone counters appear dark gray, but a closer look reveals clouds of a brilliant jade-colored green. On the backside of the island there is a rounded banquette that defines this new, integrated dining area. It’s a unique gathering place where guests can be connected to those preparing a meal. A local furniture craftsman built a one-of-a-kind cherry and mahogany dining set for this banquette, which extends from 5’ diameter to 7’ diameter to accommodate a crowd. Above the table is the custom chandelier, forged in New England, the perfect center showpiece!

Another special feature in this kitchen is the bar/prep space where barware and serveware can be displayed behind glass front doors. Conveniently located across from this is an integrated beverage fridge which allows guests to conveniently grab a drink whenever they like.
The L-shaped cherry island was stained a warm and rich color, providing a striking contrast to the soft sage tones of the perimeter cabinetry. The island countertop is a bold Brazilian Smoke Soapstone, which harmonizes well with the oil-rubbed bronze elements throughout. The soapstone counters appear dark gray, but a closer look reveals clouds of a brilliant jade-colored green. On the backside of the island there is a rounded banquette that defines this new, integrated dining area. It’s a unique gathering place where guests can be connected to those preparing a meal. A local furniture craftsman built a one-of-a-kind cherry and mahogany dining set for this banquette, which extends from 5’ diameter to 7’ diameter to accommodate a crowd. Above the table is the custom chandelier, forged in New England, the perfect center showpiece!
Fiorito Interior DesignFor this project, my client’s goal was to remove a rarely-used existing bath tub next to a medium-sized shower and replace it all with a roomy, open, walk-in shower. With soaring, ten-foot high ceilings, this space became a luxurious statement in minimalism!
I chose a neutral, linen-striated ceramic tile for the floor which, since we were creating a barrier-free shower, meant I could run this tile into the shower and add a hidden, tiled drain for a continuous, seamless look. This makes the bathroom appear even larger. For interest, I added opulent, large-format, ceramic tiles with a blue- and grey-veined marble pattern trimmed out with metal strips. A grand glass wall separates the wet area from the rest of the bathroom. Controls for the shower were wisely placed at the entrance which also features towel hooks and a towel bar on a coordinating panel of blue marble ceramic tile.
The rest of the bathroom received a modern makeover as well with a crisp, custom-built vanity and quartz counter top replacing the old tile counter. Undermount sinks and sculptural hardware sit under modern mirrors with integrated LED lights for maximum light on the face. To top this design off, I chose a glamorous but tailored chandelier with discreet crystal embellishments to infuse sophistication into this sleek, minimalist space.
The new room is light, bright, and uncluttered. For this client, the ultimate luxury is not having a space full of things, but having a space that is simply full of space!

Glenview Haus – Custom Doors & Wine CellarsOn this ultra-custom pool hall design, we had the pleasure of working with Lonnie Unger, currently with Stones Throw Interiors. Our team worked closely with Lonnie to come up with the custom design for the wall paneling, custom cabinetry, as well as the wine cellar door. This project allowed us to showcase our many different design skills and expertise. Our collaborative design work created this beautiful speak-easy style pool room and lounge. From sleek and classic shaker style paneling, to dramatic 3-step crown molding, this project makes a theatrical statement that is sure to impress all guests.
Custom Design Application
A modern design element that we utilized, was carrying over the wall paneling design to the cabinetry. This design element creates a continuous appearance that ties together the entire room, making the pool table and accessories stand out. The same paint for the walls and cabinets was also used for the custom wine cellar door. One special feature that is important to notice, is the wood threshold at the bottom of the wine cellar door. This piece is crucial for maintaining a temperature-controlled wine cellar. Without this piece, there would be a dramatic increase in temperature within the wine cellar. Wine cellars are recommended to be kept at a strict 55 degrees to ensure wine preservation. The threshold stops the air from escaping.

Powell ConstructionEverywhere you look, there is a stunning statement piece to behold! This kitchen showcases distinct custom-made items, including a striking chandelier, dining table, and a large copper range hood. A stunning copper corner sink, 48” Italian range, and the integrated (paneled) appliances are other unique features that make this space so exceptional. The custom cabinetry around the perimeter of the kitchen is a muted, sage green, bordered by full-height backsplash tile. Perimeter countertops are a light white quartz with subtle black veining, keeping the space bright and providing a low-maintenance, durable workspace. Inspired by the style of New England, we selected brick floors for this kitchen, a design element very typical of that region.
The cabinet design balances plenty of open and closed storage. In the corner of the kitchen, there is a roll up appliance garage which conceals the microwave and other small countertop appliances. Kim Teron Design StudioOur clients were an energetic and outgoing couple that loved life, laughter and their family including two well-loved Dachshund dogs.
Their home on a lushly treed cul de sac in Manor Park boasts plenty of character, with pockets of rooms devoted to their artistic and musical passions.
As a trained chef, the husband proudly and naturally commanded the lions share of the kitchen, leaving little room for his wife’s love of baking and crafting. Fine food, good wine and a myriad of guitars are at the root of their impromptu and casual
gatherings.
The original design request was to update the kitchen in functionality and
appearance. With one look at the adjacent space which was not visible to the kitchen but commanded a stunning view with south facing windows - and this project morphed into combining two separate spaces into one.
We opened up the kitchen to incorporate the sunroom and create one large open
concept sun-filled happy space with direct access to the rear yard and seating areas. The kitchen was designed to act as one space with clearly delineated zones, where each person could cook autonomously while being together. Additionally, we maintained a soft seating lounge area and a desk for crafting in natural light.
At the heart of the kitchen is a 6’ x 8’ solid black cherry island which serves as the
social hub for gatherings. We used different materials and textures in each zone to clearly represent the two uniquely individual and dynamic personalities of this
couple. A black and white glass mosaic tile backsplash speaks to the glass fused
hobby that is created in the same space while creating a dramatic statement of a
playful artistic expression.
The custom designed wine niches introduce abstract rectilinear forms. The use of
rich materials, two-toned cabinets, custom floating black cherry shelving and a
classic colour palette of black and white act as a backdrop or canvas, which intentionally allows room for each personal expression to shine.
We doubled the storage capacity within the kitchen which is still discreet and still allows for an abundance of glass front interior lit cabinets to showcase their treasured collections.
