We named this design the 'Insignia' as to reference the building in Seattle where the original table (and bench set) now reside. The concept for the 'Insignia' table was motivated by minimalist-modern design and inspiration that arose from an admiration for Nakashima-style trestle bases. With our traditional 'Mez Works' style, we used dimensional walnut with a steel stretcher through the center of the tabletop to trace our 'Zeeva' and ‘Martis’ series tables, and the steel is treated with a ‘black-magic patina’ and clear powder-coat finish for an industrial element. The leaf mechanisms are drop leaf supports that are solidly built, structurally stable and sturdy to eliminate sagging. They lock in place automatically when raised, and are simple and quick to release.
This design is very versatile, and as shown in the photos the table can be purposed as use for a desk. While folded down, the drop leaf hides a charging outlet that is secured to the base directly under the tabletop, while power is integrated by feeding the cord through the base all the way out through the bottom to a fixed outlet in the floor.

Built from raw, unfinished pine, this dining table is sized for a full family table — seven feet of solid top resting on a hand-joined X-trestle base. The trestle legs are through-jointed at the stretcher for strength that will outlast any finish, left unstained here to show the joinery and grain before the client's choice of stain takes over. Built to seat eight comfortably, with the kind of construction meant to be handed down rather than replaced.

here shown without button-tufted back, smart welting and a stretcher base, the AMANDA sofa is full of special details reminiscent of mid-century styles and available in ANY SIZES ANY FABRIC

The beautiful Magnolia Home line was designed exclusively by Joanna Gaines to convey her fresh, unique design style that embodies her lifestyle of home and family. Each piece falls onto a specific genre: Boho, Farmhouse, French Inspired, Industrial, Primitive or Traditional. Painted finishes and wood stains are offered that replicate the look of age-worn vintage patinas.
This piece is part of her Traditional genre, which is today's interpretation of yesterday's timelessness. It blends traditional lines with unexpected flare. This style's details are familiar, but simplified and freshened with easygoing finishes.

This French Country dining project centers around a handcrafted solid wood trestle table that instantly anchors the room with warmth and quiet elegance. Designed as the heart of the home, the space balances rustic character with a refined, tailored mood. The generous tabletop, with its softly rounded edges and visible wood grain, invites family gatherings, lingering dinners and everyday moments that feel a touch more special.
The trestle base, with its sculpted legs and stretcher detail, brings architectural presence to the room, echoing the feel of an old-world farmhouse refectory table. Slight variations in the solid wood surface celebrate artisanal craftsmanship, giving the dining area a sense of history even in a newly designed home. Around it, upholstered chairs, linen textiles and iron accents complete the French Country narrative without overwhelming the calm palette.
Equally at ease in a formal dining room or an open-plan kitchen/dining space, this layout proves that a single, well-crafted trestle table can define the entire room. Its timeless silhouette pairs beautifully with white walls, warm wood flooring and soft, filtered light, creating a welcoming setting for both intimate dinners and large celebrations.

The centerpiece of the scene is a rectangular dining table crafted from light brown wood. It boasts a smooth finish and a clean design, featuring four straight legs connected by a stretcher base - a horizontal bar that runs between the legs on each long side for added stability. The light brown color of the table creates a warm and inviting feel in the room.
In the center of the table sits a simple yet elegant centerpiece. A white ceramic vase holds several green plant stems, adding a touch of nature and life to the space.
Surrounding the table are four chairs, each with a brown wooden frame that complements the table. The chairs are upholstered in a light brown fabric, creating a cohesive look with the table. The upholstery appears light-colored enough to add contrast and prevent the room from looking too dark or monotonous.
A decorative mirror hangs on the wall directly behind the table. The mirror's frame has a light brown finish that echoes the color of the table and chair frames, tying the design elements together. This placement of the mirror helps create a sense of spaciousness in the dining room by reflecting the light and the table setting.
A chandelier hangs from the ceiling, positioned directly above the center of the table. The chandelier has a metal frame with a classic design, featuring multiple arms that each hold a clear glass bulb. The chandelier provides ample task lighting for the dining area, and its style complements the traditional feel of the furniture.
Overall, the scene depicts a well-coordinated dining room that is both warm and inviting. The use of light brown tones throughout the space creates a sense of harmony, while the simple elegance of the furniture and centerpiece suggests a focus on functionality and clean lines.

A solid English elm live edge slab sits atop a custom welded and powder coated steel frame. Our client was very concerned with functionality and aesthetics. We worked with her through several different base options, even considering ordering trestles online, until we found that the perfect fit for her home and style was one that we created in the shop. The steel frame design works with the unique shape of the slab, seen in the offsetting of the horizontal stretcher at the floor level.

This white oak dining table looked so incredible in this space. We feel honored to have been chosen to build pieces for this amazing space.
The dining table has two pedestals that are solid white oak boxes with waterfall mitered edges. The two boxes are connected by two stretchers to support the gap. As with all of our tables, we recessed steel c channel underneath the table top to ensure that the tabletop remains flat over time.
Unfortunately, we didn't end up receiving any photographs of the base so we have attached a few of our CAD drawings of the piece so that you can visualize what we described above. The drawings don't do them justice but you will get the idea.
This white oak custom dining table was handmade in San Diego, CA.
