Bianco Lasa is a very precious fine-grained Italian marble. It has a compact structure and stands out from the other marbles for its white background with fine light brown coloured veins. Compared to the Carrara marble it has a 20% higher hardness coefficient.The crystalline structure makes this marble strong and resistant and ensures permeability. it is therefore suitable for any type of use.

The structure supporting the suspended glass table is made entirely of custom parts, thanks to Colonial Iron Works and Blue Anchor Woodworking. The glass table top itself is triple-glazed, strong enough for a grown man to stand on, if he dares.

The Giudecca chair features a strong metallic structure and a premium quality leatherette upholstery, which makes it a durable and elegant option for the living room or study room or for an extra seating when the guests arrive. The eccentric color combination is well complemented by the unique design of the chair and thus this home décor brings quite an appealing outlook.

The conversion of this iconic American barn into a Writer’s Studio was conceived of as a tranquil retreat with natural light and lush views to stimulate inspiration for both husband and wife. Originally used as a garage with two horse stalls, the existing stick framed structure provided a loft with ideal space and orientation for a secluded studio. Signature barn features were maintained and enhanced such as horizontal siding, trim, large barn doors, cupola, roof overhangs, and framing. New features added to compliment the contextual significance and sustainability aspect of the project were reclaimed lumber from a razed barn used as flooring, driftwood retrieved from the shores of the Hudson River used for trim, and distressing / wearing new wood finishes creating an aged look. Along with the efforts for maintaining the historic character of the barn, modern elements were also incorporated into the design to provide a more current ensemble based on its new use. Elements such a light fixtures, window configurations, plumbing fixtures and appliances were all modernized to appropriately represent the present way of life.

A unique opportunity to create a campus feel for this island getaway. The property consists of a private island, requiring a bridge to accommodate the main residence. A large boathouse and ‘fish shack’ are located on the primary parcel. The design solution was to create three separate buildings that offer amenity to the family and friends, while allowing privacy for the owner. The structures are all designed in the same vocabulary with a strong ‘Coastal Michigan’ aesthetic.
