The addition of a home office in the master suite provided a private, comfortable space for hobbies and personal tasks, while an updated closet system brought improved organization. The fully renovated basement, featuring a walk-in shower and custom laundry room furniture, ensured the home could comfortably accommodate visiting family and friends.

Four Elements ConstructionOur clients wanted to create a backyard area to hang out and entertain with some privacy and protection from the elements. The initial vision was to simply build a large roof over one side of the existing deck while providing a little privacy. It was important to them to carefully integrate the new covered deck roofline into the existing home so that it looked it was there from day one. We had our partners at Draw Design help us with the initial drawings.
As work progressed, the scope of the project morphed into something more significant. Check out the outdoor built-in barbecue and seating area complete with custom cabinets, granite countertops, and beautiful outdoor gas fireplace. Stone pillars and black metal capping completed the look giving the structure a mountain resort feel. Extensive use of red cedar finished off the high ceilings and privacy screen. Landscaping and a new hot tub were added afterwards. The end result is truly jaw-dropping!

The renovation of Maison Gray was an ambitious project, marked by technical challenges to transform this 1960s residence into a modern and bright living space. Due to urban planning constraints, it was impossible to completely demolish the house. Therefore, a progressive approach was adopted, methodically deconstructing and rebuilding each wall while keeping the roof in place with temporary supports. This required rigorous coordination between the demolition and construction teams, who worked in parallel to successfully complete the large-scale project.
Major structural and framing work allowed for the roof slopes to be redefined and the creation of a double-height space, a central feature of the house's new architecture. Despite the complexity of the project, the work was completed in a relatively short period, an impressive achievement for such a large-scale transformation.
Thanks to meticulous execution, the house was practically rebuilt from scratch, with a mezzanine and new spaces arranged in half-levels within a generous volume. The tall arch on the façade marks the vaulted entrance leading to an open living space in double height, naturally lit by a skylight and large windows opening to the garden. Achieving these elements and alignments required great precision, with every architectural detail, from curves to openings, carefully executed to create a fluid and harmonious flow. Sangaré Studio designed the interior with natural materials in soft tones, creating intimate and fluid spaces.

Glenview Haus – Custom Doors & Wine CellarsForm and function became one when this custom steel wine cellar room was completed. This temperature-controlled wine cellar room, made by artisan welders, includes a custom steel interior door with insulated glass, and adjacent custom steel wall panels with insulated glass. Our customer’s wine cellar room crafted from steel and insulated glass is sealed at all edges and kept at the recommended temperature of 55 degrees. In order to efficiently store collectible wine pieces and your daily go-to selections, we encourage a temperature-controlled environment.
Our goal was to provide a modern twist to an otherwise classic feature in a high-end home. This stand-alone wine cellar room crafted from steel was designed to be a focal point in our customer’s basement living area. The progression of wine cellar designs are showing that detached wine racking techniques are the new wave of innovation and style. The idea of creating a bold display for our customer’s wine collection was intriguing to us as designers, because we strive to be on the cutting edge of all things design and beauty.
To accentuate the modern twist of the independent wine cabinet, we suggested a sleek and modern steel interior door and steel wall units. Our ultra-thin steel stiles and rails are the perfect fit to allow optimal viewing into our customer’s collection. With insulated glass and fully sealed edges, no heat can enter and no cool air can escape. The custom interior steel door unit blends seamlessly with the accompanying steel wall structures. This seamless design creates a beautifully controlled environment for wine with a sleek steel appearance. Using steel doors and steel walls was a mindful approach because the star of the show is the carefully selected bottles of wine. The idea was to juxtapose the wood shelves inside of the cabinet and create another element that stands out, while still allowing for optimal viewing…and obsessing.

Alexander-Pound House by Will McDonald of Tunnell + Tunnell Landscape Architecture (TTLA), with Theodore Pound
Completed in 1957, the Alexander-Pound House was designed and occupied by revered Atlanta architect Cecil Alexander. One of Atlanta’s first modern homes, the house was featured in Life Magazine and Progressive Architecture.
The home, with its unique, round design and floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the forest below, has a special connection to its surrounding landscape. The original site and planting plans were designed by award-winning landscape architect Edward Daugherty in concert with the architect. Theodore and Susan Pound purchased the home in 2005 and with the help of the original plans and the architect’s guidance, fully restored the structure to its original beauty. In 2010, Tunnell & Tunnell Landscape Architecture was hired to rehabilitate the landscape after a windstorm caused the loss of over 30 mature oak and pine trees.
Today’s landscape features diverse plantings in striking combinations including grasses, perennials, mature woodland, and flowering shrubs.
