The design features a substantial, traditional white mantel with thick, multi-layered molding and recessed paneling that provides a sense of timeless structure. This classic frame is modernized by a sleek, single-slab quartzite surround and hearth, showcasing soft grey veining that offers a clean, grout-free alternative to traditional tile.
The space is personalized by an eclectic art collection layered along the mantel, featuring diverse subjects from whimsical illustrations to architectural photography, which adds a curated, "lived-in" gallery feel to the room. The muted grey walls and tufted velvet upholstery further enhance the upscale, transitional atmosphere.

Upon entering the townhouse masterfully renovated by Dominique Michelle Vidal, one is immediately greeted by an elegant entryway that marries functionality with high design. A dual-purpose piece from BoConcept, the black and white bench, stretches along the wall: one half thoughtfully serves as a chic side table for personal items, while the other invites residents and guests to sit comfortably as they slip on their shoes. Dominique's artistic prowess is showcased through a striking piece of art that she created specifically for this space. The subject, a Grecian woman's bust, is reimagined through a series of curves and lines that interplay to form a modern and dynamic composition, echoing the timeless black and white theme. This bespoke artwork not only enhances the space but also infuses it with a sense of bespoke creativity and modernity that is the signature of Vidal's design ethos.

This small, medium and large planter pot set has a rattan style texture, but thanks to its polypropylene resin construction you will never have to worry about the peeling or the unraveling that happens with traditional rattan or wicker materials. These sturdy round planters will stand the test of time without fading. The quality plastic is water resistant and won't deteriorate, break, rot, rust or stain like other materials can when subjected to the elements. This guarantees that these containers will last a long time whether they are placed in the living room or outside on the patio.

Curb appeal on a grand scale. I kept the colors simple- red, white and green. Pots are all green for consistency. The center of these pots feature spineless pineapples. The center feature of the pot is a spineless pineapple. One of the most widely grown pineappple varieties in the world– 'Smooth Cayenne' or 'Cayenne', 'Cayena Lisa' in Spanish (often known in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand as 'Sarawak' or 'Kew') was selected and cultivated by Indians in Venezuela long ago. It was introduced from Cayenne (French Guyana) in 1820. From there it reached the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, England, where it was improved and distributed to Jamaica and Queensland, Australia.
Because of the plants near freedom from spines except for the needle at the leaftip and the size-4 to 10 lbs -cylindrical form, shallow eyes, orange rind, yellow flesh, low fiber, juiciness and rich mildly acid flavor, it has become of greatest importance worldwide even though it is subject to disease and does not ship well. Mainly, it is prized for canning, having sufficient fiber for firm slices and cubes as well as excellent flavor.

School settings require students to maintain concentration and sit still for long periods of time throughout the day. Needless to say, that can be tough not only for teenagers but adults as well. Harnessing sheer roller shades to cover classroom windows helps ensure sunlight doesn’t become a hindrance in the path of education, but a facilitator of better learning. By diffusing sunlight that enters the classrooms, students don’t suffer the negative cognitive impact of harsh glare that’s strainful on the eyes. Instead, they enjoy the benefits sunlight plays in maintaining alertness and attentiveness. Classroom window shades that provide better privacy also help to keep outside distractions from interfering with the lessons, keeping students focused on the subject at hand. The right use of colorful roller shades can also complement sensory cues for focus created by the classroom environment. VILLA D'ORO
Stone Mosaic
Villa d’Oro is a stunning collection of stone mosaic and intarsia patterns inspired by the artistic heritage of the countless cultures that have called the Mediterranean home. In Villa d’Oro, decorative influences from Moorish Spain mingle with Venetian Gothic and Medieval Egyptian, echoing the mélange created by the eons of cultural overlap in the ancient Mediterranean world. Working from historical sources, we stripped each design down to its graphic essence and then rebuilt it in contemporary color ways and scale, keeping in mind how people use patterns today. Each pattern in Villa d’Oro is carefully cut and assembled from stones fittingly sourced in a variety of Mediterranean countries, creating new decorative art to enliven your modern surroundings.
Usage:
Residential: All interior surfaces, including bathroom walls / floors, shower walls / floors and kitchen backsplashes. Exterior walls. Library Lounge
This client wanted to make their great room more inviting and give it purpose.
There are many two-story great rooms that feel cold. uncomfortable and serve no purpose other than watching TV. They wanted a good conversational grouping, a place for their piano, and a unique way to use the room. They also wanted to close off the room from the foyer to give it a cozier feeling.
I suggested creating a Library Lounge. I told them that books are making a comeback. Collecting on different subjects that they are interested in adds value and purpose to the room.
I used 3D rendering to present the new design to the client.
They also wanted to update the home, so I designed the wall unit and furnishings to have a clean, up-to-date traditional look. We wanted to make this room warm and peaceful, so we avoided bright colors. The color scheme is black, brown, and beige. The white fireplace will be painted in satin black. The library wall unit is 10' high with a rolling ladder. A 77" TV is designed into the wall unit.

The decision to go small is about her personal values, committing to a lifestyle, and living within her means. The move to design small is a subjective decision that weighs in on a number of factors that can’t possibly be summed up in one statement, but the obvious benefits jump to the front...easier to maintain, less cleaning, less expensive, less debt, less environmental impact, less temptation to accumulate. Her design requirements were simple, small footprint less than 1000 sq. ft., garage below the living area, and take advantage of the amazing view. It’s smaller than the average house, but designed in a way that it won’t feel like a shoebox. My client thought long and hard about downsizing her home and her lifestyle, and she couldn’t be happier
