Massaranduba Wood Siding Installation Contractor - Massaranduba is one of the hardest and most durable timber species in the world. It is considered a cost-effective substitute for Ipe wood decking in some applications.
With a reddish brown hue and straight grain, Massaranduba wood siding has been nicknamed “Brazilian Redwood.”
It is naturally durable and resistant to rot and decay, making it an excellent choice for exterior applications.
It not only lasts a long time, but has the beauty of an interior hardwood. Massaranduba is another popular natural alternative to PVC or composite products. It outlasts other popular wood decking species such as treated Pine, Cedar, American Redwood and Douglas Fir.
Massaranduba siding has become an extremely popular choice for residential and commercial buildings. Premium hardwood siding offers a featured architectural element while lasting many years in service due to its superior technical properties.
Siding made out of naturally durable hardwoods have proven themselves time and again. By using a 100% natural wood product, you can recycle and reuse the product at the end of its life cycle.

For years, early morning walks past this 1910 Craftsman in Houston's historic Avondale neighborhood left the new owners with lingering fantasies of making it their future home. When it became available, they acquired a home rich with history, but one nearly abolished. The home was once inhabited by Texas Governor (1931-1932) and founder of Humble Oil, Ross Sterling. But, renovations subdivided the home into multi-family rentals and destroyed original finishes. The developer driven modifications were abruptly halted by city red tags in 2018 after original windows were demolished and replaced with vinyl substitutes.
With a nearly clean slate on the interior, the HRDD renovation aims to be respectful to the original context while providing coplimentary modern surprises atypical to the era. One such example is a new opening that punctures through the second floor, extending to a roof skylight. Situated at the transition between formal and informal rooms on the first floor and common space on the second floor, this subtraction is lined with a scalloped wood screen. The screen is one of multiple moments within the home where texture will combine with minimal white surfaces, providing a backdrop to the owners' collection of antique Indian furniture pieces.
Additionally, a new detached replaced an existing dilapidated garage apartment and contains the owner's photography studio. Windows and a skylight are placed to capture coveted north light, ideal for photographing and editing. The main room remains an austere slate, with ceiling vaulting to a single aperture to create a dynamic moment that carries a dialogue to the opening in the main home.

Scott & Catherine Buley. High Tech Turf/LandscapeMakeover.biz. May-Apple perennial flowers on the front left are a welcome visitor to the garden. Fun to watch these pop up like tiny parasols.

A condo was given a fresh look by a few substitutions, and the use of white, black and glass furniture pieces and green accents. The client already had the couch which they liked, and wished to retain. The glass coffee and end tables keep the space looking light and airy. The mirror strategically placed above the couch bounced light around. Painted grey shelves with pipe fittings as brackets add an industrial touch which is carried through the spaces. Green accents are carried right through the dining area and the bedroom.

As the first year progresses, the plants begin to fill in. Each season, a new group of plants takes center stage as the previous season's stars fade into the background. The 'bones' of the yard keep the design intact.

The second floor offers another family room space with a kitchen and wet bar. Vaulted ceilings, light walls, and many windows create an open, bright and spacious feel. The varying shades of stained wood along with light wood walls add the modern rustic feel. The dark cabinets and large overhead fan are a nice compliment to the coastal look.

The Douglas Nance Palma Collection features sloping, carved shapes. This combination of teak strength and sumptuous cushions provide a graceful vision of comfort. The Palma Collection could be the perfect outdoor lounge furniture.
The Douglas Nance philosophy about teak furniture is different than most. While all around we see designs and styles that minimize the use of teak wood by substituting with aluminum or adding sling fabric material, we have gone the other direction. Slim and sleek won't be found in descriptions of our furniture. Instead you'll read masterful, bold and rock solid. Everything in the design of our styles has been about making a statement with teak. We've added thickness to our parts to give unheard of stability and strength. We've also added extra dimension to provide more room and comfort than any teak designs we have ever seen.

LOS ANGELES, CA / SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
The commission for this 4,300-square-foot residence came with significant challenges for the architects – a house had once existed on the lot but had burned down and the attempt to replace the house had stalled, leading to an abatement order and a lapse of permits.
Our first challenge was to revive the lapsed construction permit by proposing to “modify” the existing structure. The practical effect this had was to fix the footprint of the new home to the existing structure’s plan outline. Having thereby inherited the large, dense block of the original house, the new strategy became one of substituting selective areas of indoor space for outdoor courtyard.
This strategy of trading indoor space for outdoor courtyard allowed an erosion of the formerly monolithic structure into a series of distinct volumetric elements, and further suggested that the architectural pieces could cohere as a “village.” The main level is further eroded by large, glazed planes, merging indoor with outdoor, and virtually stretching the landscape across interior space. Moving the detached garage from the rear yard to beneath the new living space allowed for a 75-meter lap pool and a shaded olive garden.
The gardens include built-in seating, extensive use of ornamental grasses and Zen-like interior courtyards. A material palette of fossilized stone, bonderized-galvanized metal, and natural Douglas fir allows for the warmth desired by the wife, while providing the modernity required by the husband. Programmatically, her music room borrows from the calm and protected olive court in the rear, while his office becomes a pavilion set in the landscape, which both addresses the street and acts as a sheltering monument for the terraced entry garden.

Glass Thassos was specified for an infinity swimming pool in Southampton, NY. For this project the surface was done in a fine sandblasted textured finish. The surface was the perfect texture that feels great on bare feet and provides sufficient traction on wet surfaces. The pavers used for this project are 48"x48"″ square. Custom grates, steps and pool coping.
Glass Thassos is revolutionary new material, man–made from crystallized glass placed under extreme heat. A pure white surface is consistent throughout each piece. The material is harder than granite and has virtually no absorbency so it never requires sealing. It is an excellent substitute for white marble as each piece has crystals embedded which reflect light to create depth into the surface like marble. It is suitable for interior and exterior application and available in polished and sandblasted finishes.
