The pantry/laundry and powder rooms where designed for this homeowners specific needs and desires. Cabinetry in the pantry area was highly customized to include specialized storage for step ladders, large vases, dog & cat food storage - as well as the home tankless water heater & storage for cleaning supplies. Prior to the renovation, these items were stored in the guest bedroom.

One of my favorite hobbies is to build or refinish furniture. I love finding a quality piece of furniture at a yard sale, thrift store, or even on the side of the road and give it new life. I also build custom pieces of furniture to fit a specific need in a home. I hope you enjoy browsing through my before/after photos of some of my work. Building a Dream Backyard When this homeowner started the design process of a new backyard, Braen Supply was immediately there to supply all the stone materials. The home was part of a new development, so the challenge was to make the home stand out while still addressing specific areas of the existing backyard, such as the steep grade. Working With the Experts Taking the steep grade into consideration, moss rock boulders were selected to create stairs down to the lower area of the backyard where the fire pit sits. The grade of the backyard also allowed for the infinity pool, full color bluestone pattern was selected as the veneer for the back wall of the infinity pool. Braen Supply chose Tennessee gray and bluestone to create a seamless transition from the front of the house to the back of the house. Although they are two different stones, they work nicely together to complete the overall design and tone of the home. It all came together and made the perfect backyard. New Urban Luxury Private Residence – Alys Beach, Florida Architect: Khoury & Vogt Architects Builder: BRW Builders of Destin E. F. San Juan supplied all the interior and exterior wood millwork for this expertly designed residence adjacent to the snow-white dunes found in the serene New Urban townscape of Alys Beach, Florida. Challenges: The most significant design challenge of this project was to engineer a processing method to fabricate the complex millwork components in mass for the outdoor lounge. Khoury & Vogt Architects created a custom design for an inspiring and elegant outdoor living space. Fortunately, this house had a resourceful and creative team ensuring the vision of the design stayed intact. Solution: The intricate design required a creative approach which entailed high-level fabricating skills. “This project stands out in my mind because it required that I personally design and build numerous jigs,” says Edward San Juan. Taking on the challenge, San Juan designed and handcrafted each jig to the exact specification required for the exterior design. The team at E. F. San Juan continued with the creative approach, integrating and assembling the custom jigs to produce a work of art. The millwork beautifully complements the sleek white design on the deep indoor-outdoor decks, allowing the feel of the surrounding nature to flow inside. This butler pantry was totally unusable because the drawers were as old as the house, they didn't work and the countertop height was very low. We had these made to meet all their specific needs. The roll out tray drawers are perfect for those odd and large shaped platters that never fit anywhere, the storage is perfect for all their entertaining pieces, plus the light from the window keeps this pass though bright and pretty. A Stainless Steel 48” Italian commercial Hood is placed on top of an Italian Porcelain Backsplash framed with Brushed Bronze accent tiles. Client asked for marble floors in a basketweave pattern which mimic floors they love in a historic hotel in Washington D.C. // We delivered this basketweave and bardiglio gray marble tile that was not easy to supply // My client requested a specific shade for the bardiglio dot in the floor; our tile supplier fabricated this basketweave to meet their request. // The floor also features a bardiglio border cut on site by our tile setter.

The adze marks are not decorative. They are the record of a specific person doing specific work at a specific moment in American agricultural history. This material exists in finite and diminishing supply as the barns that held it continue to come down. The form is deliberately restrained. Nothing competes with the material. Proportions were determined by the beams themselves — their weight, their scale, their presence — rather than imposed from outside. Functions equally as a coffee table, entry bench, or display surface. Significant as furniture and as object. Available for commission as hand hewn beam material is sourced. Each piece differs because the material differs.
