A fun, custom and unique creation we designed and constructed which incorporates many facets to your outdoor living experience! With symmetry in mind we still wanted to bring forth a "softness" to this ensemble. Soft arches and curves combined with a balanced layout and symmetrically cut stone. We used one of our favorite types of stone for the facade- an Oklahoma thick flagstone called "Ozark". We installed this in a dry stack pattern for all vertical surfaces other than the sides of the chimney and pizza oven where we used a buff colored mortar to create a shadow joint. A thick Pennsylvania Bluestone was used for the counter top. The intricate "thin flag feather" insets and backsplash is a Tennessee thin flgastone veneer called "Crab Orchard ( gray). This was painstakingly cut and installed piece by piece in a dry stack pattern. Extremely time consuming but gorgeous! The chimney sits app. 12' tall and the pizza oven sits app. 9' tall. Plenty of room in between for the Green Egg, sink, refrigerator, grill and cabinets. Low voltage night lighting was also incorporated into the backsplash as well as surrounding landscape. We also recommend a clean burning wood for pizza ovens. This one is stocked with European White Birch. We built this bright sitting room directly off the kitchen. The stone accent wall is actually what used to be the outside of the home! The floor is a striking black and white patterned cement tile. The French doors lead out to the patio. After tearing down this home's existing addition, we set out to create a new addition with a modern farmhouse feel that still blended seamlessly with the original house. The addition includes a kitchen great room, laundry room and sitting room. Outside, we perfectly aligned the cupola on top of the roof, with the upper story windows and those with the lower windows, giving the addition a clean and crisp look. Using granite from Chester County, mica schist stone and hardy plank siding on the exterior walls helped the addition to blend in seamlessly with the original house. Inside, we customized each new space by paying close attention to the little details. The name of this project says it all. It is a home with materials, elements and details that are assembled in a modernist style that all have purpose and meaning to the Owners. This is a goal for every project, but in this case, extra care by the interior designer who is one of the Owners is evident as you move through the interior and exterior spaces. Exterior wall materials include a combination of split face earth tone natural brick and an off-white stucco finish. The interior finishes are a combination of stone tiles, various soft toned wood patterned finishes, wall coverings and fabrics, etc. that all give each space its own personality. Light fixtures follow suit with an array of designs that can set different moods for each room. It starts with the approach to a symmetrical front elevation that features an intimate entry porch with a hand-carved arched wood front door. One enters a main entry foyer that serves as a circulation spine for this 2-story home with 5 bedrooms, 5 full baths and 2 half baths. The square footage for the conditioned spaces is 7,045 sq ft and the total under roof square footage is 9,360 sq ft. The house rests on a sloping site that has an elevation drop of about 14’ with a pool and outdoor living area with views and access down the hill to a wooded area beyond. As you move through the main foyer, you’re able to access a guest bedroom, office space, stair tower, intimate dining room, wine cellar and onto the living room with coffered ceilings featuring a parka patterned wood finish. The adjacent kitchen continues the unique detailing with a wood clad exhaust hood and a mix of white oak and painted cabinetry with a large island that seats 6. A breakfast area with banquette seating provides panoramic views to the patio and pool area. Bridle Path Residence — Family Room & Media Lounge This Bridle Path Residence family room is conceived as a sophisticated yet comfortable gathering space, balancing the formality of the home's architectural language with a more relaxed approach to everyday living. The design creates a sense of quiet luxury through symmetry, tailored millwork, layered texture, and restrained glamour, rather than relying on excessive decoration. The built-in fireplace and media wall form the architectural centre of the room. Custom white cabinetry frames the television and fireplace with carefully proportioned panels, glass-front display niches, and decorative moulding. This integrated approach allows technology to become part of the architecture rather than visually dominating the room. The fireplace surround introduces a natural stone focal point beneath the television, adding subtle movement and material depth to an otherwise crisp white composition. Its placement establishes a strong central axis, while the symmetrical cabinetry on either side reinforces the room's sense of order and balance. The expansive window along the left side is equally important to the design. It floods the room with natural light and establishes a direct visual connection to the mature landscape outside. This relationship with nature softens the structured architecture and prevents the room from feeling overly formal. Two generously proportioned sofas are positioned opposite one another to create an intentional conversational arrangement. Their light upholstery keeps the room visually open, while layered cushions introduce warmer tones, pattern, and tactile contrast. The symmetry of the seating arrangement gives the space a composed architectural quality while remaining highly functional for family gatherings and entertaining. The metallic furniture introduces a subtle note of contemporary glamour. Gold-toned frames, sculptural side tables, and glass surfaces reflect light throughout the room without overwhelming the neutral palette. The combination of transparent glass and polished metal also keeps the furniture visually light against the substantial architectural detailing. Custom millwork, symmetry, traditional detailing, natural stone, warm hardwood, sculptural furniture, and soft textiles come together to create a family room that feels polished without becoming precious. It is designed as a room for both everyday life and elevated entertaining, comfortable enough to live in, yet refined enough to belong naturally within a luxury Bridle Path residence.

In order to create a symmetrical visual effect our designers used wall accents, like well-placed sconces and wallpaper set into custom picture frame molding, on both sides in order to make the space appear symmetrical and equal despite the size differences. This balancing effect, paired with the octagonal grey-and-white bone and resin inlay coffee table, capiz shell cabinet, and customized white velvet sofa, made the space feel fit for a movie star from the golden age of Hollywood!
