We built this new Timbertech in 2018 and a few years later, these homeowners got a new Hot Tub under the deck and was looking for privacy. We then built a horizontal decking privacy wall to match the decking. We also wrapped the footing posts and beams to complete their backyard deck project. Wall looks great and really completes the final look of the whole project. With this stay-at-home pandemic – the homeowners have much more time to enjoy the privacy in their new hot tub.

Built new wrap around deck on rear of house. We used Timbertech's PVC Capped Composite decking with 2 colors for picture framing. Westbury's Full Aluminum Railing (Rivera Style) with a top cap was installed.

This deck was getting a “bigger and better” remodel. We tore off the old deck and built this larger deck for mostly the length of their house. The homeowner wanted a low-maintenance free decking (tired of staining every year), larger deck to use his backyard space and make a more usable outdoor area, and also a grilling area. The material we choose was Timbertech’s PVC Capped Composite Decking in Tropical Series. The main color was Antiqua Gold then accented with a picture frame and one in the middle with the color Antique Palm. We then added Westbury’s Full Aluminum Railing (Tuscany Series) in Black. The homeowners also have a lake house, but did comment on wanting to stay in Des Moines to enjoy their new deck here. This deck will get much use and looks great. Great finished project and great clients to enjoy it for many years!

This was a fun deck to build because of all the angles. I do not like to splice deck boards, so I designed a creative picture frame board in the center at an angle, then moved the stairs to make this deck look very unique. The decking we used was Timbertech’s PVC Capped Composite Decking in the Tropical Series – Antigua Gold, then accented with the Tropical Series – Redwood. The colors turned out sharp and the center picture frame board turned out exactly how I pictured it. We then installed a White Vinyl Fencing around a corner for privacy, then add Westbury’s Tuscany Series Railing in White. To keep the theme – we skirted the framing with White Royal Full PVC Trim as well as the stair risers. Last we built a wall below for a hidden storage. The decking design and colors turned out great and the homeowners love it. The homeowners were great to work with!

This East Troy home on Booth Lake had a few drainage issues that needed to be resolved, but one thing was clear, the homeowners knew with the proper design features, their property had amazing potential to be a fixture on the lake. Starting with a redesign of the backyard, including retaining walls and other drainage features, the home was then ready for a radical facelift. We redesigned the entry of the home with a timber frame portico/entryway. The entire portico was built with the old-world artistry of a mortise and tenon framing method. We also designed and installed a new deck and patio facing the lake, installed an integrated driveway and sidewalk system throughout the property and added a splash of evening effects with some beautiful architectural lighting around the house. A Timber Tech deck with Radiance cable rail system was added off the side of the house to increase lake viewing opportunities and a beautiful stamped concrete patio was installed at the lower level of the house for additional lounging. Lastly, the original detached garage was razed and rebuilt with a new design that not only suits our client’s needs, but is designed to complement the home’s new look. The garage was built with trusses to create the tongue and groove wood cathedral ceiling and the storage area to the front of the garage. The secondary doors on the lakeside of the garage were installed to allow our client to drive his golf cart along the crushed granite pathways and to provide a stunning view of Booth Lake from the multi-purpose garage. We build a 2 decks for this client for 2 living areas. We used Timbertech Legacy Ashwood for the decking and Westbury Railing in Tuscany Style for the railing. We then installed (2) pergolas that open and shut. The final touch was the lattice below to match their shed.
