Tiffany also added a second top row of cabinets to increase storage space while adhering to HOA footprint restrictions. And since function and accessibility for all family members was important, a small utility cabinet with ladder was added for easy access to the higher areas. The ceiling’s ball pendant with yoke hanger construction offers dramatic and decorative elements that play off luxurious Breccia Capraia marble that extends up the backsplash and around the window.

Inspiration for a coastal bathroom remodel in Philadelphia

To give the light and airy look that our client desired, we began the dining room design by hanging custom 21' tall sheer drapes from a custom curved iron drapery rod. This was accomplished by making a paper template of the curved window wall and mailing it to the drapery rod vendor to have a custom curved rod manufactured for our dining room. Next, we hung a 60" diameter dramatic chandelier from the ceiling. This required reinforcing the ceiling to carry the weight of the new larger chandelier, and by erecting three tiers of scaffolding for three men to stand on while installing the new chandelier. The space is anchored by a 72" diameter dining table with tall back dining chairs to emphasize the height of the room. An 81" tall piece of artwork hangs above the modern buffet and provides contrast to the white walls. Tall buffet lamps, custom greenery and a textured woven rug complete the dramatic space. A simple color scheme and large dramatic pieces make this dining room a breathtaking space to remember.

A classic West Side loft in Hell’s Kitchen, Gallery’s main task was to renovate the large kitchen. The clients like to entertain, so in addition to remodeling the aesthetic, we expanded the footprint of the island and built an entirely new bar at the opposite end of the kitchen. Some design choices are a natural fit for the space. In this case, that meant leaning into the industrial vibe of the exposed concrete while bringing in some character with the material choices. INDUSTRIAL CHIC With an industrial aesthetic in mind, gray was a natural color choice for the fully custom Miralis cabinets. The backsplash was designed in a subway brick pattern, but rather than the typical porcelain or marble, a clay tile in a white matte tone resembling cement was chosen to further coordinate with the exposed concrete. Stacked cabinets were installed to accommodate the tall loft ceilings. For contrast, we incorporated glass front cabinetry with lighting in some areas. The resulting marriage of concrete, glass, and wood is well-matched for an industrial chic loft kitchen. Further highlighting the homeowners’ love of entertaining, we also built an entirely custom bar at one end of the space, featuring open shelving in contrasting wood tones with underlighting and a custom mirrored backsplash for an authentic bar feel. ADVENTURES IN APPROACHING COLUMNS Loft renovations tend to come with two common needs: how to fill all that space tastefully and how to work with those ever present columns. In the case of this loft kitchen renovation, it suited the industrial aesthetic not to wrap the concrete column as one typically would, but rather to leave it exposed, accentuating the raw character of the space. Partially as a result, the island expanded too, creating more room for functional additions such as a built-in microwave, wine fridge, and more open shelving to match the bar, outlined with a countertop overhang to optimize counter space and chair storage. ANCHORED IN SYMMETRY With a loft space as unusually large as this one, an ideal design strategy, especially when high ceilings are involved, is to anchor the kitchen on opposing sides. Here, one side is anchored by a large floor-to-ceiling pantry, while the other is anchored by the counter-depth fridge with cabinetry above. The connecting element is the counter space in the middle, resulting in the visual impact of a long kitchen run within the open floor plan of a loft. Inspiration for a contemporary black three-story flat roof remodel in San Diego

Behind the scenes of this Cherry Hills Village remodel, our team worked meticulously to highlight the natural beauty of Crystallo Quartzite while balancing warmth and contemporary minimalism. The kitchen became the heart of the project, with a bookmatched Crystallo Quartzite waterfall island that required precision templating and seamless mitered edges to create a floating stone appearance. We paired it with soft oak cabinetry and integrated appliances to keep the space feeling open and clean, letting the quartzite’s subtle veining take center stage. In the living room, the double-height ceilings and expansive windows brought in Colorado’s natural light, while the sleek black fireplace and designer lighting created a sophisticated focal point. We carefully coordinated stone details with the design team to ensure flow and cohesion throughout. The bathroom’s backlit onyx steam shower was a technical feat, requiring custom support and LED installation to achieve an even glow that transforms the space into a spa retreat. Every tile cut and seam placement was strategized to align the onyx’s natural patterns, making the steam shower both functional and a piece of art. Throughout this project, we prioritized craftsmanship, precision, and clear communication with the homeowners, designers, and trades. From slab selection to the final polish, each detail was approached with intention to bring this refined, organic modern home to life.

Located in the heart of Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the building was erected on a shallow commercial lot between two 120 year old masonry buildings and a new residential rental building. 330 Grand Street is a mix of 725 SF 1BRs and 1050 SF 2BR apartments. It also contains a 1100 SF two story duplex as well as private and public rooftop space, large private balconies for most units and two large private terraces for the ground floor units. 330 Grand Street was originally designed and approved at the NYC DOB as a prefabricated modular building. During the pandemic, as shipping costs skyrocketed putting the project at risk, we suggested redesigning the building as a reinforced cast-in-place concrete structure. Concrete was readily available and prices had not been affected by the demand increase that many other materials suffered in the pandemic. We took this opportunity to raise floor to ceiling heights, enlarge high performance windows and redistribute the buildings MEPFS and Structural Systems to create very open floor plans. The challenge was to create a luxurious sensorial living experience with very limited means. In a city with very high construction costs, low cost residential buildings in the area are usually devoid of good quality, design and character. Our approach was to aim high for the end user, prioritizing natural light, open space with long visual perspectives, high ceilings and as always, rejecting the use of predefined building templates. Our biggest challenge was to ensure that the small spaces feel as clean cut, large and bright as possible. Several unique design decisions were made to ensure low cost and high quality; Floor plans were laid out so that spaces were wide open and free of clutter from mechanical or structural interruptions. Therefore all infrastructure was placed in lateral demising walls, which in turn act as the unit’s storage and kitchen. The apartments feel wide open, are super quiet and have more storage space than any other comparable apartment in the city. To solve the problem of the site’s shallow commercial lot which is typically prone to dark interior spaces we focused our attention on the building’s envelope. Instead of the usual small punched window openings, oversized high performance windows were designed to ensure that light penetrated as far as possible into the units. In the smaller 1BR units, the full 50’ depth of the lot is perceived by partitioning spaces with sliding pocket doors that can be retracted to allow deep visual perspectives, making the sight lines in the space feel longer, larger, more ample than normal. In addition to the full height glazing, each unit above the 2nd floor receives a 7 foot covered balcony, adding 120 to 240 sf to each apartment, something unusual in New York City buildings. The space is large enough for a full size dining table, when the weather permits being outside. We also worked hard to ensure modularity. For example, all kitchen units are all identical throughout the building. The idea of modularity and the economy of the repetitive unit is exercised to the maximum through the building. Hardware, appliances, flooring, wall coverings and material finishes are all carefully selected to feel bespoke, high quality and unique. It was important to KURV that the result of this work manifest into something that would deeply connect with the end user and sustain relationships with the consumers of this space. Evergreen successfully completed this comprehensive kitchen renovation on Coronado Island, one of the most stunning destination in Southern California, transforming the space into a modern, functional culinary hub that balances aesthetic appeal with technical precision. The renovation required careful structural planning, beginning with the removal of existing cabinetry and assessment of electrical and plumbing systems. We relocated water supply lines and drainage to accommodate the new island configuration, ensuring all connections met current building codes. The electrical system was upgraded to support modern appliances, including dedicated 220V circuits for the range and additional outlets strategically placed for small appliances. The centerpiece island incorporates integrated appliances, requiring precise cutouts and reinforced support structures. We installed a dishwasher with proper venting and water connections, while maintaining seamless cabinetry lines. The ventilation system was redesigned to handle the open-concept layout, with a powerful range hood that ensures proper air circulation. Flooring installation utilized engineered hardwood with proper moisture barriers and expansion gaps, essential for kitchen environments. The white quartz countertops were templated on-site for perfect fit, with careful attention to seam placement and undermount sink installation. In the other side, the color palette combines crisp white perimeter cabinets with a contrasting dark island, creating visual depth. Three oversized pendant lights provide both task and ambient lighting, while recessed LED fixtures ensure even illumination. Black fixtures and hardware tie the modern aesthetic together, while natural wood tones add warmth to the contemporary space.
