The homeowners wanted their upstairs master bath to have a spa-like feel so we used a porcelain tile that mimics the look of wooden white marble to create a warm and calming atmosphere. By taking the wall tile all the way up to the almost 9’ ceilings, the bathroom feels larger than it actually is. Dane Austin’s Boston interior design studio gave this 1889 Arts and Crafts home a lively, exciting look with bright colors, metal accents, and disparate prints and patterns that create stunning contrast. Marquee lights, feathered accents, and all that glitters–Hocus Pocus Mantel Scene sets the stage for a glamorous Halloween production. Black magic gives way to vibrant pops of orange, purple, and green, for a season more sparkling than spooky—no witch could resist! Brilliant Mantel Scarf drips with sequins and gems, while the handmade Hocus Pocus Wreath steals the show—complete with velvet hat, raffia broom, and light-as-air purple feathers that move with the breeze. Fashionable pumpkins make up the stellar supporting cast.

To complete the Halloween theme, I put pool noodles into striped stockings, spray painted a pair of shoes with red sparkle paint for a witch in the bushes, added a witch hat, some mums, a pumpkin, a spooky sign and some cobwebs.

A large 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home in New York City’s High Line area exhibits artisanal, custom furnishings throughout, creating a Mid-Century Modern look to the space. Also inspired by nature, we incorporated warm sunset hues of orange, burgundy, and red throughout the living area and tranquil blue, navy, and gray in the bedrooms. Stunning woodwork, unique artwork, and exquisite lighting can be found throughout this home, making every detail in this home add a special and customized look.

A focal point was created on the back fence that adds interest and beauty to what would normally be just a plain fence. Wire and confederate jasmine were used to create this piece of living wall art. The circles in full bloom are spectacular to view and provide a sweet fragrance. The vine art is easy to maintain and stays green all year.
