The pantry is concealed by a sliding barn door with an etching of a willow tree; one on the farm was the inspiration. This was one of the most time consuming elements of the design process for the homeowners, choosing just the right image so to create a stylized version of the grand tree on the property, but not to make it look mysterious given the glass proportions. The material chosen for both the barbecue area countertop and the flagstone is called 'bluestone.' Bluestone is a type of limestone mostly distinguished by a color running from a deep-sea blue to light greys and brown hues. It requires professional sealing, however, with proper care, it has a much easier and less time-consuming upkeep than tile and grouting.

When this Mattawan family moved into their new home it came with an unappealing, non-functional fountain. In a bargain with their 4-year old, the family decided a koi pond would replace their time consuming, high-maintenance indoor aquarium. We were able to replace their existing unsightly fountain with a small lower maintenance koi pond and waterfall.

It took me about 4-5 hours to install, it was easy to connect the mats but very time consuming. As you can see in the pics below, I had a pretty big area to cover and I decided to add a little design. Overall everything turned out great! I also placed these mats over carpet and that seemed to workout as well. The product was a little softer than I thought it would be, but it actually worked out better because I can do floor workouts without having to put down another softer mat. We were challenged with having very little space between the fridge and counter for plywood. WE didn't want to paint it and it would have been too time consuming to cut perfectly to create a face to meet up above the counter and against the hunk o'appliance. We came up with the clever idea of using white magnetic roll used for vehicle advertising.

Vinyl flooring repair from last week. Working on a replacement or repair like this can be tough and time consuming, because you never know what you’re going to fine under the floor. On this project, we found damaged subfloor, less than perfect prep with some oversized, improvised shims. Luckily we were able to source the same floor for our customer, correct the prep issues, and replace the damaged floor.
