Large glulams floated on heavy steel beams, with a glass panel railing create a dramatic start to this staircase. At the curve, near the Art Display, the stairway changes to glulams with drywall risers, setting a very different tone. To the left you see the back side of the living room fire place and its surround, Bucks County European Castle Stone. The laundry and powder room doors located to the right. The Art Display was custom designed, it is a series of recessed niches to display the client's art collection and glass trinkets, each are illuminated with their own individual LED light. Custom Carpentry - While the angular nature of the room can be difficult to work around with its varying heights, it can also yield a pleasant product. These custom shelves change heights with the room around them, lending the library a creative and unique look.

A Cool and Moody Kitchen AS SEEN ON: SEASON 3, EPISODE 7 OF MASTERS OF FLIP The perfect place for a hot cup of coffee on a rainy day, the custom kitchen in this modern-meets-industrial home is dark, stormy, and full of character. Polished slate countertops team up with the dark Wren stain on our Gallatin cabinets to create a moody take on modern style. The upper cabinets feature unique up-open hinged doors that add an unexpected element while floating shelves let the penny tile on the backsplash shine. Greenery, copper trinkets, and small clay pots add eye-catching detail throughout the space, creating a curated yet comfortable atmosphere. To maintain the sleek design that this space works so hard for, all of those crucial – yet perhaps not so stylish – amenities are tucked away in the base cabinets, including an under counter microwave unit and a lazy susan in the corner cabinets.

Beautiful nature-evoking art sits above a fireplace mantle in a Berkeley Craftsman home. Along either side of the fireplace are built-in wooden shelves designed to house books, trinkets, and small plants. In the foreground are a coffee table and lounge chair.

This formal living room was created by punctuating layers of deep blues and airy seafoam greens with bright goldenrod accents. Clean lines were combined with rustic textures to maintain a consistent feel with the rest of the home. The sofa, chairs, bench and shutters were customized for this particular space. New accessories were mixed in with some of the homeowner's most treasured trinkets.

A antique brass trinket dish collected from a flea market in Paris, gold-rimmed agate coasters and a mid-century brass conch shell repurposed as a container for white-flowered brunia, also called Brunia albiflora or Berzelia albiflora.
