An eclectic, modern, and a little edgy take on a gender neutral nursery. We used a mostly neutral palette with whites and grays to set tone for the space. Then we warmed up the space with a gorgeous dark sage green dresser, copper accents, and burnt orange tones while still maintaining the light and airy feel. The client was an avid art appreciator, so we included some standout pieces by contemporary artists like Murakami and Kaws. Here is a look at some of the copper details in the space. These homeowners were looking for craftsman details around every corner. They had bought quarter sawn oak furniture for their dresser, tv stand and nightstands. They were just missing a matching bookcase. We took care of it! Our custom cabinet company said they could match the furniture without a problem. We left an inset in the wall just large enough to perfectly fit the custom made quarter sawn oak bookshelf. Her office located just off of the living room features exposed antique wood beams and a round tile-surround window. The dutch door opens to an exposed backyard patio connected to a loggia and garden. Open shelving allows the homeowner to display her favorite trinkets and collections. This customer had an odd little nook in her primary guest bathroom of unused space. We built in this small cupboard with some glass display shelving above for small trinkets, some cubbies for rolled up towels, and drawers below for storing more personal items.
