In this bathroom we installed Waypoint LivingSpaces Oak 650F door vanity with Cultured marble countertops. An American Standard Acrylic freestanding tub was installed with Delta floor mount tub filler with hand shower in stainless. Moen plumbing fixtures in brushed nickel includes two high arc single handle vanity faucet, shower faucet, hand shower on slide bar, with 3 24” grab bars, 2 – 24” towel bars, 3 robe hooks and toilet tissue holder. Kichler 4 light bath light in brushed nickel was hung over the sinks. On the shower and flooring is a mixture of two different types of 12”x12” tiles. The Blue/Gray tile was used on the main floor and the Almond was used under the tube with a border that transitions the two. The shower walls are a mixture of 12’=”x12” tiles and a double row of accent border tiles. A semi-frameless swing door and panel enclosure in brushed nickel finish.

The battery back-up system supplies power to all the household appliances and lights in the house and will keep them working for four hours during load shedding power outages. This system fits neatly under the staircase.
The Italian Piazetta wood oven supplies heat through tubes to the main bedroom, patio, study and needlework rooms while the rest of the home is heated with a heat pump that takes approximately 30% less electricity than the average electrical geyser.
A gas geyser was installed to supply the kitchen with warm water and to avoid wastage of using long pipes throughout the house.
All outdoor windows and sliding doors where fitted with double glazing. This retains heat that saves energy and lowers the noise levels in the home.
LED lights were fitted throughout the house to reduce the electricity usage to less than 10% than conventional light bulbs.

Shehan Luxury Pools is pleased to present The Balfe:
Naturally, the essentials like an elegant, eco-friendly pool design, automatic cleaning system, and polished pebble interior were already included, but in all honesty, we did not see the speed slide coming… Luckily, with five 17-foot expertly crafted cascading waterfalls to choose from, our design team managed to carve out a 40-foot high-speed super tube any resort would be happy to claim as their own.
Hiding beneath over 6,500 square feet of simulated granite slabs, spires and cliff-face rock, a sculpted limestone cavern snakes around a swim-up bar and leads to the world’s first fire Majilis; aka a cozy spot around a blazing bonfire reserved for VIP BFF’s only. A full service outdoor kitchen, personalized travertine decking, and hand-sculpted limestone stalactites complete this fairy tale landscape. As far as opulent designer swimming pools and exotic outdoor spaces go, The Balfe has set a new standard in engineering, construction, and craftsmanship (not to mention extravagance).

The large cabinet is a custom-made wardrobe, designed for the specific needs of my client. Behind the obscure glass hangs my client's separates, and behind the center door are shelves that slide out. This space is where the original double vanity was located. Michael Whitesides

If you are looking for a watering hole, you've found it! This is a 44' x 24' freeform pool. The one side is all rock formations with plantings. A waterfall is on one side and a 30" diameter tube is incorporated in the rock to create a natural slide. Random bluestone with 3/4" gravel was used to create a natural surround, and just 30' away is a pond loaded with fish.

Part of a complete home renovation in an aging Mid-Century Bow Mar home, this expansive kitchen is visually and physically the home's centerpiece. I used two large seating areas attached to opposing half-circle islands to create a functional and comfortable family space, as well as house a microwave drawer and induction cooktop.
