This Reston Virginia Condo remodel required us to bring every room up to date. We provided the new wood plank laminate flooring with a cork underlayment for maximum comfort and sound absorption. The client requested that we turn the second bedroom into an office space. We lined the wall with semi-custom cabinetry, a new ceiling fan and a built out custom closet to store books and office supplies. The adjacent bathroom shower walls and floors are lined with polished marble floor tile and new chrome plumbing fixtures. The new grey vanity and quartz counters compliment the new grey zigzag accent marble tile. The master bedroom received a full overhaul as well including a custom velvet headboard lined with espresso wood, new nightstands and dresser, 2 new pendant lamps in front of the new espresso wall mirrors. We were sure to incorporate new LED lighting throughout the condo including smart home enabled Wi-Fi controlled lighting.

Complete exterior remodel for three homes on the same property. These houses got a complete exterior and interior remodel, D&G Exteriors oversaw the exterior work. A little bit about the project: Roof: All three houses got a new roof using Certainteed Landmark Shingles, ice and water, and synthetic underlayment. Siding: For siding, we removed all the old layers of siding, exposing some areas of rot that had developed. After fixing those areas, we proceeded with the installation of new cedar shingles. As part of the installation, we applied weather barrier, a “breather” membrane to provide drainage and airflow for the shingles, and all new flashing details. All trim Windows: All windows on all three houses were replaced with new Harvey vinyl windows. We used new construction windows instead of replacement windows so we could properly waterproof them. Deck: All three houses got a new deck and remodeled porch as well. We used Azek composite decking and railing systems. Additional: The houses also got new doors and gutters.

Breezeway - Constructed a new breezeway including all underlayment, joist bays adn toungue and groove sub flooring. Constructed a partition wall designed to fire code for both sides, between the breezeway and garage. Installed all trim moldings, doors, outlets, recessed lighting and ceiling fan.

This Victorian floor was discovered at a house in Swiss Cottage in the London borough of Camden when the current owner took the old carpet up. It was in need of substantial restoration to bring it back to its former glory however we have had really good results from restoring similar floors so we were confident it could be done. The carpet had literally just been taken away so we had to remove the gripper rods, underlay and deal with the adhesive which we managed to tackle using a strong solution of Tile Doctor Remove and Go which was left to dwell and penetrate the glue for ten minutes before being scrubbed in. Once the glue was removed the tiles were given a thorough clean using Tile Doctor Pro-Clean using the same process of leaving it to soak in and then actively scrubbing it into the floor to get the tile and grout as clean as possible. The floor was then rinsed and stubborn areas re-treated until we were satisfied with the result. The last cleaning step was to use a steam cleaner to pull as much dirt out of the pores of the tiles as possible and a wet vacuum to extract the liquids and get the floor as dry as possible and we also re-grouted where necessary due to the damage caused by the gripper rods. We also gave the Victorian tiles in the entrance lobby a thorough clean using the same process, although they had not been covered in carpet they were still in need of a deep clean. The floor was left to dry and when we returned the whole floor was ready to be sealed and for this we used five coats of Tile Doctor Seal and Go which adds a nice shine to the floor as well as providing a surface seal that will help protect the tiles from stains going forward. For the entrance lobby we used two coats of Colour Grow which doesn’t add the shine but as an impregnating sealer we felt it would perform better with the wear at the front of the house.
