The replacement roof we installed is an 18 inch x 7/8th inch Tapersawn shake system installed at a 7-1/2 inch exposure. We always use ASTM-226 Type II 18" organic felt for our shake installations, this is the under-layment recommended by the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (#30 felt isn't the same) also, we always use ring shank stainless steel nails when installing cedar.

A tea colored cork floor with insulated underlay was installed over the concrete subfloor. The result is warm to the feet, easy on the eyes, and quiet to the ears.
