We built this detached additional dwelling unit for a lovely couple looking to settle down on their family homestead. Our clients wanted to build their forever home right next door to family! We started our process with a feasibility study to see what was possible with the land. Once we understood what was possible we dived right into space planning and interior finishes. We took a lot of care into creating a space plan that fit Jack’s collection of Amish furniture. Making sure that his office would fit each item he wanted in that space and function well! When it got to the kitchen, we created a chefs dream with easy to access magnetic wall storage, roll out pantry storage and undercabinet lighting! We added a little wow to the powder room by including a blingy light fixture. The end result is exactly what they needed to be close to family and enjoy their own space at the same time.
American Dream Design Build is rated the best contractor and remodeler in the south sound. We specialize in kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, additions, custom homes, outdoor living spaces and whole home remodels. Located in downtown Puyallup, we serve a 30 mile radius from our office and would be happy to hear from you about your project!

The Willow - Transitional Family Home on Acreage in Brush Prairie, Washington by Cascade West Development Inc.
Another key ingredient was a long term solution for a growing family. With a teen, preteen and a toddler it was well understood that this family would be growing, in many different ways, for years to come. A great way to plan for the future is to build in adaptability. This meant multi-use rooms, nooks and convertible flex spaces. Some of the flex features wee rooms with closets and other additional storage that could be used for personal or family effects. This included additions to the den, craft room and lots of spaces in-between. Two dining areas allow for added entertaining, either formal or informal. And underground plumbing designed for expansion will make it easy to set-up a detached garage, for the teenage years, or an in-law suite for when older relatives get a little late in their years.

This clean cut kitchen stemmed from the design challenge to place a contemporary kitchen in a traditional Tudor style house in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Our client was a self-described city person living in the country - who wanted an urban contemporary feeling incorporated into her home. She says she waited many years to find the right design team who understood her vision!
Not wanting to ignore the beautiful 50 year old oaks outside her window, Advance Design transformed her traditional kitchen into an urban kitchen utopia with the use of texture and earthy finishes keeping with the feel of the existing home. Dura Supreme Bria frameless cabinets with a soft pillowed door works to incorporate a woodsy feel in shades of grey textured foil appropriately called “Twig”. Aluminum framed opaque glass doors are hinged with a lift up Aventos hinge for a contemporary twist and a super-functional opening. Brushed nickel hardware in various sizes keeps with the clean line feel.
To keep the design organic and “fit it in” with the rest of the house, we covered the floor with a natural looking travertine porcelain laid on a 45 degree angle simulating a more traditional feel in a neutral tone of silvery-brown. The backsplash is clean and crisp with large Carrera marble tiles in a brick pattern, and a splash of energy from a vertical marble and glass mosaic accent. We then finished off the look with clean Cambria Torquay countertops portraying minimal patterning to keep the work surfaces feeling uncluttered and open.
Other areas of the home were addressed to “blend” the style in with lightly distressed grey tone hardwood floors and a “matching” renovated powder room displaying contemporary features to compliment the nearby kitchen’s style.

We understood the customer's dream to remove an existing closet and several walls.
We began with the removal of several structural walls and closet. We found that the previous contractor had incorrectly removed structural wood posts. We secured the structural integrity of the building with wood and steel.
We proceeded to expand the opening between
the Kitchen and Butler Pantry, which included relocating waste and water lines from the second floor.
We upgraded the existing electrical and installed a 440-volt electrical system for the entire home.
You can enjoy the illumination of the cabinetry and kitchen, by the pendant lights, recessed lights, under cabinet lights, and curio lights in the glass door cabinets,
Note the brick pattern Subway tile from the counter top to the ceiling, in the kitchen and the Butler Pantry. Take special notice of the decorative tile area above the range.
The chimney style hood was vented to the exterior.
The unique sitting area, near the rear entry, was finished with beadboard paneling and wall cabinets up to the ceiling., trimmed with crown molding.

Designed by Akram Aljahmi of Reico Kitchen & Bath in King of Prussia, PA in collaboration with Maccs Construction, this transitional style inspired white kitchen design features kitchen cabinets from Greenfield Cabinetry in the door style Jackson with a Chalk finish. The kitchen includes quartz countertops in Cambria Britannica.
“The overall experience was great with Akram and Reico. The layout of the Reico showroom helped me to quickly decide what I liked and what I didn’t like for our new kitchen,” said the client. “Because we live in an older home, we had to make last minute decisions that were not in the original plans. Walls that were to come down could not, so we had to improvise with the layout of the cabinets.”
“Akram was great at helping me envision a proper layout for our oddly shaped kitchen. We had met with other designers before meeting with Akram and he clearly understood our vision and was truly instrumental in bringing everything together. My favorite cabinet pieces are the drawers. It is so much easier to organize and keep things neat. There is an easy flow in our kitchen, everything is easily accessible.”

Griffith Designs partnered with repeat real estate investor clients to create custom landscape plans for multiple residential flip properties throughout the Denver area. Each design was tailored to the condition, architecture and resale goals of the individual home, giving investors a practical strategy for improving the property’s exterior appearance.
The landscape designs focused on high-impact curb-appeal improvements that could help each home make a stronger first impression on prospective buyers. Recommendations prioritized attractive, functional and market-ready updates while considering the investment objectives and scope of each property.
Because every renovation presented different opportunities, Griffith Designs adjusted the landscape plan to match the home, neighborhood and available budget. This flexible approach helped investors identify exterior improvements that supported the property’s overall transformation and resale presentation.
By returning to Griffith Designs for multiple Denver-area investment properties, these clients gained a trusted landscape-design partner who understood their process and priorities. The result was a series of strategic residential landscape plans created to enhance curb appeal, complement each renovated home and contribute to a polished, buyer-ready presentation.
