The client envisioned a laundry room that radiates cheerfulness and playful charm while maintaining the home’s overall refined elegance. Drenched in Sherwin Williams Upward, a soft, airy blue-gray, the classic Shaker cabinetry feels fresh and timeless, complemented by brass hardware from the Rejuvenation Eloise collection and a crisp white quartz countertop. Cole & Son’s iconic large-scale flamingo wallpaper in muted cream and charcoal and the Visual Comfort Hampton chandelier in plaster white adds just the right dose of whimsy while hand-painted-look floor tiles from Best Tile in black and cream bring vintage European charm. Clean vertical-groove paneling keeps the space light and classic, and a brass shelf-hung drying rod from Rejuvenation offers both function and subtle sparkle. A walnut table with turned legs and woven baskets provides the perfect landing spot for folding and finishing touches.

We designed the Ashmont to bring something genuinely new to Cotswold. A Scandinavian modern home that feels both rooted in its surroundings and unlike anything else in the neighborhood — natural cedar siding meeting a hand-laid stone facade, dramatic rooflines that draw the eye upward, and copper gutters that will only grow more beautiful with time.
This was a home designed with intention from the outside in. The kind of exterior that makes you slow down when you drive past.

The Sound of Wood: A Story of Warmth and Modernity
In this Northern Atlanta family room, the wall becomes more than a backdrop. Clean planks of natural wood line the surface, creating a texture that is as much about sound as it is about sight. The wood doesn’t just look different, it softens the acoustics, adding warmth and calm to the room.
Above, modern copper pendants bring a sculptural glow, their reflective surfaces adding movement and light. A minimalist bench sits below, grounding the space with quiet comfort, while art in bold strokes draws the eye upward.
The design is simple yet layered, modern, welcoming, and serene. A space where the materials tell the story, and where beauty is felt as much as it is seen.

This open staircase is designed as a central architectural feature, connecting levels while maintaining visual openness throughout the home. Warm wood treads paired with a soft neutral carpet runner create a balance of comfort and refinement, while sleek black iron balusters and a natural wood handrail add contrast and structure. The vertically paneled wall enhances height and texture, drawing the eye upward through the space. From the staircase and upper landing, the foyer below remains fully visible, allowing the sculptural statement lighting fixture to be appreciated from multiple levels. This thoughtful connection between floors transforms the staircase into more than a passageway, making it an integral part of the home’s overall design experience.

Gracefully curving through the home, this stunning stair is more than just an access point. It’s an experience. White oak handrail guides the hand upward, following the gentle sweep of the steps. The white risers balance the white oak treads, while the black metal balusters add a contemporary touch. Painted risers provide contrast to the warm oak treads, while black metal balusters introduce a crisp, contemporary edge. Framed by tall windows and illuminated by pendant lighting, the staircase becomes a study in precision and balance, where light, material, and form come together.

Looking upward from the bedroom reveals the tall gabled ceiling, angled roof planes and recessed lighting. Low access doors and closet storage use the space beneath the eaves, with a wood bed visible at the room’s edge. The white finish emphasizes the ceiling height while keeping the bedroom visually quiet.

This staircase features a clean modern design that highlights the natural warmth of the wood treads and the simplicity of the surrounding architecture. The smooth white walls and trim create a bright backdrop that enhances the grain and texture of the wood, giving the space a refined and inviting feel. A sleek handrail with dark metal brackets adds a subtle contemporary touch while maintaining a minimalist look.
The lighting above the staircase casts soft shadows that bring depth and character to the space, and the modern chandelier adds a stylish focal point that draws the eye upward. The overall design feels open, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted, showcasing the quality and attention to detail found throughout this new custom home.
