Bathrooms are designed classically using a combination of modular sized white wall tile set horizontally and capped with a ceramic chair rail around the room perimeter. All flooring for bathrooms and laundry room is a square module hard wearing, easy maintenance porcelain tile replicating a beautiful Calcutta marble. This provides continuity of our classical look without the maintenance issues of a natural marble.

Luxurious modern take on a traditional white Italian villa. An entry with a silver domed ceiling, painted moldings in patterns on the walls and mosaic marble flooring create a luxe foyer. Into the formal living room, cool polished Crema Marfil marble tiles contrast with honed carved limestone fireplaces throughout the home, including the outdoor loggia. Ceilings are coffered with white painted crown moldings and beams, or planked, and the dining room has a mirrored ceiling. Bathrooms are white marble tiles and counters, with dark rich wood stains or white painted. The hallway leading into the master bedroom is designed with barrel vaulted ceilings and arched paneled wood stained doors. The master bath and vestibule floor is covered with a carpet of patterned mosaic marbles, and the interior doors to the large walk in master closets are made with leaded glass to let in the light. The master bedroom has dark walnut planked flooring, and a white painted fireplace surround with a white marble hearth. The kitchen features white marbles and white ceramic tile backsplash, white painted cabinetry and a dark stained island with carved molding legs. Next to the kitchen, the bar in the family room has terra cotta colored marble on the backsplash and counter over dark walnut cabinets. The bathroom was remodeled with a new shower and double sinks. The custom vanity is painted in Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal. The green subway tile backsplash by Ann Sacks adds a pop of freshness. A small room can still make a big statement; that is especially true for this powder room. Compact in size and understated in color, this once beige and boring powder room is now a gorgeous extension of the newly updated kitchen and living room. The goal was to make the bathroom look larger and beautiful. We replaced the old cabinet with newly styled dark coffee bean stained cabinet. A stunning metal mosaic tile was used to transition well with the mirror and looks seamless. The tall mirror to the ceiling adds height to make the room seem very large and dramatic. A beautiful Kohler slate gray sink adds to the new look as well as a single lever faucet for easy clean up and adds a new and modern feel. The toilet was of the same slate gray finish. To complete this new look, we found the perfect wallpaper for the walls and a separate metallic paper for the ceiling. Taking the walls and the ceiling the same color add dimension and height to this small space. This jewel of a powder room is sexy, modern and fun. The door is no longer closed and this tiny space is just fantastic and loved by the client! Design Connection, Inc. This mid century modern home boasted irreplaceable features including original wood cabinets, wood ceiling, and a wall of floor to ceiling windows. C&R developed a design that incorporated the existing details with additional custom cabinets that matched perfectly. A new lighting plan, quartz counter tops, plumbing fixtures, tile backsplash and floors, and new appliances transformed this kitchen while retaining all the mid century flavor.

The kitchen in this house needed some real TLC and sadly the cherry red laminate didn't suffice. We introduced a herringbone subway tile backsplash and a slight hint of colour in this space. With everything else being white, the cabinetry is where one can have fun - all the appliances are kept black to tie in the black accents from the living space and storage was maximised by squeezing in a tall pantry and tucking the refrigerator next to it. Open shelving was incorporated instead of closed upper cabinetry, just so one could display china and other collectibles, and this made the room feel open and airy and the plaid blinds added the right amount of playfulness. This open kitchen embraces a flurry of activities with some cooking, some prepping, some grabbing their beers, while having cookies humming away in the oven, in contrast to the claustrophobic layout earlier.
