Split rail or post and rail fencing is a great option when you want to add a touch of rustic charm to your yard. We have a system that incorporates long-lasting cedar fencing, durable, attractive galvanized "cage mesh," below ground pest barrier, and raised beds filled with balanced organic soil. Beautiful, protected, and productive--that's our idea of a great garden.

There is still enough sun for an abundant and always evolving chef's garden. This raised bed has a separate irrigation system, as most edibles will need a little more water the rest of this garden.

In south Seattle, a tiny backyard garden needed a makeover to add usability and create a sitting area for entertaining. Raised garden beds for edible plants provide the transition between the existing deck and new patio below, eliminating the need for a railing. A firepit provides the focal point for the new patio. This garden was a project in collaboration with Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, NY. We designed and installed a large vegetable garden that would be suitable for educational programs for children. The garden is spacious and productive and provides an excellent teaching space for the numerous students who visit Stone Barns Center.
