This charming little butterfly bush has all the appeal of traditional varieties wrapped up in a petite package. Staying under three feet tall without pruning, Lo & Behold® 'Blue Chip' is perfect for the modern garden. It produces seedless, fragrant blooms from mid summer to frost without deadheading. It's dwarf, mounding habit makes an ideal plant for perennial or container gardens and mass or hedge plantings. Pruning not necessary. Cut back to 12" in early spring if desired. Full Sun. Plant in well-drained soil. Attracts butterflies and humming birds. Deer resistant. 24-30" (60-76cm) tall and wide. USDA Zone 5.

There are lots of great alternatives to traditional sod. This is Kurapia, which you can walk and play on like a traditional lawn, even mow, yet it needs very little water, grows slowly and is a breeze to maintain. It also doesn't brown with furry friends. It does bloom in the spring and was developed at UC Davis.

This project required a call of attention to the architectural details of the home as the main visual focal point. Additional lighting was added to the trees to visually anchor the home to the landscaping. All of the lights used are low voltage, LED lights.
