This entry way makes a bold statement right when you walk through the doors. The bookshelves are filled with family keepsakes and natural greenery. Popular Scandinavian-style interiors blog 'These Four Walls' has collaborated with Kährs for a scandi-inspired, soft and minimalist living room makeover. Kährs worked with founder Abi Dare to find the perfect hard wearing and stylish floor to work alongside minimalist decor. Kährs' ultra matt 'Oak Sky' engineered wood floor design was the perfect fit. "I was keen on the idea of pale Nordic oak and ordered all sorts of samples, but none seemed quite right – until a package arrived from Swedish brand Kährs, that is. As soon as I took a peek at ‘Oak Sky’ ultra matt lacquered boards I knew they were the right choice – light but not overly so, with a balance of ashen and warmer tones and a beautiful grain. It creates the light, Scandinavian vibe that I love, but it doesn’t look out of place in our Victorian house; it also works brilliantly with the grey walls. I also love the matte finish, which is very hard wearing but has none of the shininess normally associated with lacquer" says Abi. Oak Sky is the lightest oak design from the Kährs Lux collection of one-strip ultra matt lacquer floors. The semi-transparent white stain and light and dark contrasts in the wood makes the floor ideal for a scandi-chic inspired interior. The innovative surface treatment is non-reflective; enhancing the colour of the floor while giving it a silky, yet strong shield against wear and tear. Kährs' Lux collection won 'Best Flooring' at the House Beautiful Awards 2017. A 1950's mid-century bungalow required an update from it's original, with a colorful, modern interpretation wanted by the owners. The terrazzo is original and since difficult to match color, the tile wall curves to meet the floor.

This is another view of the family room with the Mitchell Gold red mohair velvet couch that pulls out for overnight guests. The side chair is also by Mitchell Gold and the rug is by West Elm. Inspiration for a transitional dining room remodel in Boston

This beautiful kitchen remodel includes a complete renovation of the existing space. We vaulted the ceiling, added skylights, walls ovens, appliance garages, and stunning pendant lighting. A formerly small, closed-off kitchen was transformed into a beautiful, open space perfectly designed for food, friends, and entertainment.

This dining room was designed to create a moody and cozy atmosphere. The dark blue wall colour ads an element of drama, contrasted by a gold branch sculpture on the wall and two sconces on the farther end. A heritage rustic dining table is softened by tufted cream coloured linen dining chairs and accented with gold cutlery.

Our clients already owned the rugs in the dining, living and foyer areas as well as the Grandfather clock. We completed the rooms by blending in more transitional furnishings, lighting and window coverings to add updated appeal. We had the home owner paint the grandfather clock black and had the handrail of the stairs painted black as well as adding anchor points of black around the rooms. We chose the wall colours from the lovely blue accents in the area rugs and carried the colour palette through the rest of the home's kitchen and main areas.
