This custom beverage center was designed around the clients new Sub-Zero wine cooler. The existing walls were not deep enough to accommodate the new cooler, so we centered it and added decorative angled flutes on the sides to coordinate with the rest of the kitchen. Glass shelves and beveled glass doors highlight the wine glass collection. Roll out trays in each base cabinet allow for easy access to liquor and other beverage items. Located in Center City, this Philadelphia condo takes color to a whole new level. The kitchen cabinetry is a mixture of blue painted wood and black melamine cabinets. The countertops and backsplash are made from different quartz products to tie everything together.

Commissioned to shed new light on a dark and dated master bath suite, we banished the cultured marble, raised the ceiling, and installed bright clerestory windows. We crowned custom bamboo cabinets with poured concrete counters, extended them to the Jacuzzi tub surrounds, and finished the space with gleaming nickel hardware, a recycled glass shower enclosure, and tumbled marble floors with radiant heating, for year-round warmth. Our clients were so pleased with the results they asked us to continue the same sense of elegance and serenity we had started in the master bath and extend it towards a full remodel of their family room and kitchen. We installed new hardwood floors to emphasize the comfortable, quiet spaciousness of a newly arranged layout. Quartzite counters, quarter-sawn white oak cabinetry, and a recycled glass tile backsplash were combined to produce a sophisticated kitchen, gleaming surfaces and clean lines, while rough split-faced travertine brick enriched an updated fireplace, bookended by built-in shelves and cabinetry, to make a strong, practical center in the family room.

Our goals were to create a beautiful and highly functional kitchen with an emphasis on cabinet organization, heated floors and incorporating a live edge slab countertop. We removed an existing bulky island and replaced it with a new island that while only 60 x 26 in size packs a powerful punch housing a baking center, trash/recycle center, microwave oven and cookbook storage. The island seemed the natural place for the gorgeous live edge slab coupled with vintage mercury glass light pendants that make for a truly stunning kitchen island. Polished carrara quartz perimeter counters pair beautifully with the watery blue-green glass backsplash tile. A message center conveniently located on a side panel of the refrigerator cabinet houses built in mailboxes, a family calendar and magnetic surface to display the children’s artwork. Home design - large contemporary home design idea in San Francisco

Not only do the homeowners have a grill with exceptional cooking capacity for large and small gatherings, the comprehensive design also eliminates the need to leave the party. This is made possible with the integration of fundamental kitchen components such as integrated storage cabinets, dual refrigerator drawers, an ice maker and waste and recycling units.

Close to Lincoln Center Plaza, two existing apartments were combined into a single custom tailored 4-bedroom residence. Characteristic with other buildings from the same post-war era, the existing apartments suffered greatly from a low, monotonous ceiling slab. To break up the ceiling, floating planes containing low-profile LED recessed lighting were incorporated throughout. Grey-washed birch veneer millwork is seen as you enter into the new foyer space. A blackened steel inlaid panel serves as a datum that continues throughout the apartment, wrapping the entry unit and extending around the corner to then transform into a floating bookshelf. The unit not only divides the entry area from the Living room, but also serves its utilitarian purpose on the foyer side as coat and storage closets, and then an entertaining function on the opposing side with a TV niche and custom liquor bar. Whitewashed rift and quartered white oak floors were used to brighten the space. In the kitchen, marble counters extend up the wall and onto the ceiling marking the separation of the kitchen/dining area from the living room/entry area. The kid’s room contains a custom curved desk area built beneath the bay windows to take advantage of the views. In the master bedroom, the blackened steel inlay reappears inset into the wardrobe wall unit.

White, mitered flat panel cabinets by CNC Cabinetry are used throughout the kitchen. Lower cabinets are loaded with special features including a lazy-susan corner, a waste/recycling center, and several narrow rack units to maximize storage space. The upper cabinetry reaches to the vaulted ceiling accentuating the openness of the new space.

This modern farmhouse kitchen features a beautiful combination of Navy Blue painted and gray stained Hickory cabinets that’s sure to be an eye-catcher. The larder cabinet on the left is designed as a beverage center with apothecary drawers designed for housing beverage stir sticks, sugar packets, creamers, and other misc. coffee and home bar supplies. A wine glass rack and shelves provides optimal storage for a full collection of glassware while a power supply in the back helps power coffee & espresso (machines, blenders, grinders and other small appliances that could be used for daily beverage creations. The roll-out shelf makes it easier to fill clean and operate each appliance while also making it easy to put away. Pocket doors tuck out of the way and into the cabinet so you can easily leave open for your household or guests to access, but easily shut the cabinet doors and conceal when you’re ready to tidy up. Beneath the beverage center larder is a drawer designed with 2 layers of multi-tasking storage for utensils and additional beverage supplies storage with space for tea packets, and a full drawer of K-Cup storage. The cabinet below uses powered roll-out shelves to create the perfect breakfast center with power for a toaster and divided storage to organize all the daily fixings and pantry items the household needs for their morning routine. On the right, the second larder is the ultimate hub and center for the homeowner’s baking tasks. A wide roll-out shelf helps store heavy small appliances like a KitchenAid Mixer while making them easy to use, clean, and put away. Shelves and a set of apothecary drawers help house an assortment of baking tools, ingredients, mixing bowls and cookbooks. Beneath the counter a drawer and a set of roll-out shelves in various heights provides more easy access storage for pantry items, misc. baking accessories, rolling pins, mixing bowls, and more. The kitchen island provides a large worktop, seating for 3-4 guests, and even more storage! The back of the island includes an appliance lift cabinet used for a sewing machine for the homeowner’s beloved hobby, a deep drawer built for organizing a full collection of dishware, a waste recycling bin, and more! They played up the natural beauty surrounding the house, by enhancing the natural light and introducing new textures that would give the space a modern look. Being centred in a wooden lot, we chose to carry natural materials like walnut, marble and slate into the room. However, to add drama and contrast, the elements are juxtaposed with industrial lighting, square high-polished fixtures and a factory-style barn door.
