This Hollywood Fairytail house had been lovingly restored, all but the garden! We demolished everything in the front garden and designed a new gracious porch with a checkerboard design in concrete tiles, new low water landscaping with drip irrigation and meandering paths of flagstone, a recirculating fountain and rain garden. Added fruit trees, native and climate appropriate plants and a walkable low water Ruschia area for kids and dogs.

We added drought tolerant plantings and a wandering gravel walkway. This garden had great bones - it just needed some space planning and a little TLC. We removed an old and not very attractive rose garden to create a new decomposed granite seating area with a custom fire pit and some olive trees. The rest of the garden got a major landscape re-do, with low water plants, lawn area replaced with Kurapia, drip irrigation and LED landscape lighting. The clients are delighted with the new space and what with the lighting and firepit, can really enjoy this gorgeous garden!

This contemporary home was designed as a third house on an existing lot with an older duplex on the front portion. This new home has views over the Ballard locks and a large rooftop deck including raised garden beds to maximize outdoor space.

This garden had great bones - it just needed some space planning and a little TLC. Considering the size -
large!) there was hardly any seating or area to gather. We removed an old and not very attractive rose garden to create a new decomposed granite seating area with a custom fire pit and some olive trees. The rest of the garden got a major landscape re-do, with low water plants, lawn area replaced with Kurapia, drip irrigation and LED landscape lighting. We kept the birdhouse, and now it's a highlight instead of being buried amongst old plants and an arbor - it's even uplit and looks lovely at night. The clients are delighted with the new space and what with the lighting and fire pit, can really enjoy this gorgeous garden!

Why not use your front garden? Here, a feeling of privacy and enclosure, though open enough if you want to say hi to passers-by admiring your lovely garden..
No lawn, low water, permeable, pollinator friendly, fully automated drip irrigation. All you have to do is enjoy!
