This project took Place in Rancho Santa Margarita we converted a traditional back yard into a Beautiful rock garden with a birdbath and paver pad. We used a weed barrier underneath the pebble to ensure we don't have any weeds popping up in between the rocks anytime soon.

Fall and winter are prime-time for weeds in Texas. Henbit (Lamium amplexcaule) is a prolific winter-grower. It prefers cool, moist soil so now is a perfect time for it to thrive. Henbit also loves freshly seeded lawns that are not fully grown in and dormant lawns as well. You’ll recognize it by its upright, spreading growth habit, furry lower leaves and tiny purple flowers in early spring. The weed matting for garden has a wide application in gardening and road engineering projects. It is used for the vegetable patch, flower bed, artificial lawn, gravel and stone pavement, driveway, etc.

Detail of the new fire pit and seating area. We also provided design input on the new outdoor furniture. This garden had great bones - it just needed some space planning and a little TLC. We removed an old and not very attractive rose garden to create a new decomposed granite seating area with a custom fire pit and some olive trees. The rest of the garden got a major landscape re-do, with low water plants, lawn area replaced with Kurapia, drip irrigation and LED landscape lighting. The clients are delighted with the new space and what with the lighting and firepit, can really enjoy this gorgeous garden!

This newly planted mid century project is simple and elegant. The interior courtyard and atrium are reminiscent of a Zen garden, the front garden has rivers of grasses and low water plants. More pictures to come when we finish!

Inspiration for a modern home design remodel in Denver

This was a dried out weed strewn desert of a corner lot - including front, side and back gardens, with enormous parkways as well. The entire landscape hadn’t been touched in many years. We removed all the dead grass and weeds, created swales and berms, a big rain garden, paths and seating areas all with permeable paving. Also added fruit trees and veggie beds, and transformed the space completely. Now, the garden is full of birds, butterflies and pollinators! And the clients got a sizable rebate through the LADWP landscape rebate program!
