Huge trendy beige floor wine cellar photo in Los Angeles with display racks

This stunning glass enclosed modern custom wine cellar was designed and installed by Vintage Cellars earlier this year. The Contemporary Custom Wine Room was fitted into an existing fireplace space, turning the visually unappealing sore thumb of the room into a magnificent show stopping centerpiece. This modern luxury condo on the 31st floor in a downtown San Diego high-rise acted as a very interesting project for the custom wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars. The modern wine room space has dual paned, insulated glass but because of the nature of glass itself, the cooling unit was recommended to be oversized. The custom wine room space itself didn't have great options for venting the cooling unit due to the location on the 31st floor. The best option to vent was determined to treat the wine room as a wine cabinet, per se. The Cooling Unit, a CellarPro 1800 XTS, was placed in the ceiling, venting down cool air and circulating vented air back upward. The result works perfectly for a uniquely modern and contemporary space such as this. This fully enclosed, glass front custom wine cellar boasts a 300 bottle capacity with a sleek, modern, label forward feel that ULTRA Wine Peg racking is known for. The center section is a double stacked full reveal display row, showcasing some of the homeowner's finer wines. Though no particular space was made within the wine racking area, the design of this modern custom wine cellar was pushed back a couple of feet so that wine case storage could be an option between the glass front and the custom racking. Additionally, the clean feel goes even further upon looking for the entrance into this wine cellar. The flat panel on the furthest left side opens slowly and almost magically when pushed in slightly. A great, modern touch! A gorgeous, modern condo such as this is just begging to have a custom wine cellar. This space, with big help from this contemporary wine room, screams luxury upon entering. Custom made wine cellar for my Dad. I transformed a seldom used sauna room into this beautiful work of art. I had to quote it through several companies because it was very expensive. In the end we hired this craftsman that used melina (a type of cultivated wood) that is very affordable. By staining the wood we achieved this luxury feel. We were able to do the cornices and even the carved column with that type of wood which is made of small slats joined together. The perfect finishing touch was a custom made oil painting of a vineyard to be admired when opening a bottle in the granite countertop.

This new racking system is our Angled "Label Line" made with stainless steel rods and aircraft tension cable to give the bottles the appearance they are floating. The metal wall cladding with cut out backlit LED strips give it a contemporary finish, while the stone columns pull it the exterior surrounding decor. This wine cabinet holds ~175 bottles in cases and individual bottle storage.

Custom wine room combines an amazing blend of metal display racks and custom, gray stained wooden racks to match the basement cabinetry. Visibility of labels and a minimum desired capacity made for a tough design process that in the end turned out as intended. Just as the customer envisioned. An ultra-modern wine room in one of Portland's most desired zip codes. Custom-built acrylic shelving in this walk-in wine room creates the dramatic appearance of 600 bottles of wine floating in mid-air. Lighting effects add to the futuristic vibe and establish a luxurious aesthetic that links the walk-in wine cellar to the exterior bar and shelves. Bridging the two spaces, a floor-to-ceiling steel ledge bottle display and a chic sitting area create the perfect alcove for sipping that La Landonne.
