Newschool Builders LLCEmbracing the natural elements of this circa 1960’s Condo development in Stowe Vermont was a priority for our clients. We worked closely with a great design team and our clients to create this simple, but beautiful minimalist retreat. Our clients, both authors, wanted a place to withdraw from the endless distractions and fast pace rhythms of the city. Custom made cabinets, bookshelves and built ins helped off set the sandblasted CMU block walls and ground concrete floors. A beautiful handcrafted stairwell was a center piece connecting the three floors. A handcrafted integrated concrete sink in the master is was another testament to the mixed mediums used to create this space. We embraced exposed conduit and commercial grade light fixtures throughout which helped add to the overall minimalist feel of the space. There is a beautiful rawness to this project which everyone came to admire.
Carlton EdwardsThe loggia's exterior surface is limed brick with cedar shake roof accentuated with contrasting copper gutters and downspouts. This entertainment and outdoor seating area is used year-round with its fireplace and comfortable seating.
The TV integrates into a teak and steel millwork piece of furniture. It raises out of the top to display the screen and withdrawals when not in use.
For extra visuals of tranquility, a koi pond sets across from the fireplace and loggia.

Reclaimed Wood Creations LLC.All the wood used in the remodel of this ranch house in South Central Kansas is reclaimed material. Berry Craig, the owner of Reclaimed Wood Creations Inc. searched the country to find the right woods to make this home a reflection of his abilities and a work of art. It started as a 50 year old metal building on a ranch, and was striped down to the red iron structure and completely transformed. It showcases his talent of turning a dream into a reality when it comes to anything wood. Show him a picture of what you would like and he can make it!
