Inspiration for a mid-sized cottage medium tone wood floor great room remodel in Nashville with white walls
Inspiration for a mid-sized cottage medium tone wood floor great room remodel in Nashville with white walls

This country house was previously owned by Halle Berry and sits on a private lake north of Montreal. The kitchen was dated and a part of a large two storey extension which included a master bedroom and ensuite, two guest bedrooms, office, and gym. The goal for the kitchen was to create a dramatic and urban space in a rural setting.

This homage to prairie style architecture located at The Rim Golf Club in Payson, Arizona was designed for owner/builder/landscaper Tom Beck.
This home appears literally fastened to the site by way of both careful design as well as a lichen-loving organic material palatte. Forged from a weathering steel roof (aka Cor-Ten), hand-formed cedar beams, laser cut steel fasteners, and a rugged stacked stone veneer base, this home is the ideal northern Arizona getaway.
Expansive covered terraces offer views of the Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish designed golf course, the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the US, as well as the majestic Mogollon Rim and Stewart Mountains, making this an ideal place to beat the heat of the Valley of the Sun.
Designing a personal dwelling for a builder is always an honor for us. Thanks, Tom, for the opportunity to share your vision.

The open wood truss system, tongue in groove ceiling and wood counter top on the island all provide great contrasting interests to the white painted recessed paneled custom-made cabinetry. Two sinks and a trough in the island provide ample utility and enough space for multiple chefs. The wall sconces accent and center the window above the kitchen sink while the fully integrated Sub Zero refrigerator is nicely concealed.

This custom mountain cabin kitchen brings together three Manomin products in one cohesive interior. Reclaimed Douglas Fir ceiling joists and beams run in a coffered grid pattern overhead, their original checking, saw marks, and warm reddish brown tones filling the ceiling with character. Reclaimed wood paneling runs floor to ceiling on the perimeter walls, and reclaimed wood flooring extends the warm palette underfoot in rich, deep tones.
Our Reclaimed Douglas Fir Timbers are rescued from Industrial Revolution era warehouses and factories, bringing rich textures and colors from deep red to sandy brown that only come from old growth timber. At Manomin Resawn Timbers, every piece goes through a detailed process of denailing, kiln drying, and precision milling so that antique character is preserved while performing beautifully in a modern home.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, or a homeowner looking for a complete reclaimed wood kitchen package including ceiling beams, wall paneling, and flooring, Manomin Resawn Timbers has been helping people discover the antique charm of reclaimed wood since 2002. We serve homebuilders, contractors, and designers across the country. Visit our showroom in Hugo, MN or reach out to us with a call or a message to get started.
