Cartoccio is wall cladding for interiors in natural or enameled clay. The surface is uneven with a textured three-dimensional appearance. It is inspired by a choppy sea or a crumpled piece of paper. Glossy or matt finish; natural shades of cream, nature hide, nature brown and nature grey, gold, dusty silver and copper.

It was great working with Julie on her kitchen remodel in Ahwatukee. She wanted to renovate her kitchen, they improve the aesthetics. She wanted two tones for the cabinets with espresso on the island and base cabinets, and white on the upper and pantry cabinets. She picked a great white & gray quartz countertop from AZTile called Calacatta Jubilee. She wanted more storage so we blocked off the window to the left of the fridge to allow for a cabinet pantry. We also replaced the sink, faucet, and backsplash. The space is better lit now by replacing the track lighting with LED can lights. She chose two nice pendant lights to go over the island to bring a three-dimensional element to the space.

Our clients purchased a condo in the heart of Chicago after deciding it was time to move from their longtime suburban home and embrace their dream of living downtown. Leaving their family home where their children grew up meant that our work needed to do two things for the family: help make the most of their new city life and create a warm and welcoming home for their two college-aged children. We used grays, browns and creams accentuated with pops of orange and yellow to transform the condo into a warm, modern space. We sourced unconventional light fixtures and custom rugs for each room, as well as an assortment of clean-lined furniture including modern classics like a black Eames lounge. Each room features original art—everything from a three-dimensional installation to abstract paintings and photography. Modern amenities, such as power-operated window treatments and an electric fireplace, were seamlessly integrated into the home, ensuring that the client can enjoy their space with a flip of a switch. The kitchen renovation was tailored to the family’s wish list, including a beverage bar and built-in pantry. The modern, three-dimensional white tile back splash keeps everything bright and interesting.

Home Remodeling Project Overview This extensive home remodeling project transformed a dated and inefficient layout into a functional, open, and aesthetically cohesive living space. The original layout had several challenges: • A kitchen with limited storage, no cabinets on the window side, a sink facing the wall, and a range crammed into the corner. The pantry closet was too deep and impractical. • A living room that couldn’t accommodate furniture without interfering with traffic flow. • A front foyer with wasted space. • A claustrophobic hallway toilet room without a sink, located near the laundry room. The Remodeling Concept The scope of this project extended well beyond the kitchen. We proposed several layout options to address issues in all adjacent spaces, ultimately implementing a plan that: • Removed two walls and moved doorways. • Replaced the kitchen window. • Converted the hallway toilet room into a storage space. • Installed pocket doors to separate the laundry hallway from the living room. Kitchen Transformation • Open Concept: By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, the two spaces became a seamless open area. • New Layout: Cabinets were relocated to the window side for more storage and natural light. A central island with storage and seating was added, and a coffee bar was installed in the dining room. • Updated Pantry: The deep pantry closet was converted into a pullout pantry with a cabinet front for better accessibility. • Design Details: Off-white kitchen cabinets pair beautifully with a light green island. Warm white quartz counters and an artisan tile backsplash complete the look. Dining Room • Expanded Space: Most of the wall separating the dining room and foyer was removed, creating a more spacious area while still accommodating all furniture thanks to careful measurements. Living Room Improvements • Optimized Layout: Moving doorways and installing pocket doors allowed for better furniture placement, including a sofa that doesn’t interfere with traffic flow. • Fireplace Upgrade: The brick fireplace was updated with a three-dimensional staggered stone veneer in a color matching the kitchen cabinets, creating a cohesive look. A TV was installed above the fireplace at a comfortable viewing angle. Additional Updates • New Flooring: All remodeled rooms now feature updated flooring. • Ceilings: Popcorn ceilings were replaced with smooth, flat finishes, complemented by recessed lighting. • Walls: Fresh paint throughout the space, with an accent wall in the living room matching the light green of the kitchen island. • Lighting: Stylish sconces were added for a touch of elegance. The Result The homeowners are thrilled with the transformation, marveling at how their once cramped and inefficient home now feels spacious, functional, and beautifully cohesive. They can’t believe their house could ever look like this!

Completed in two phases, the kitchen in this home was first overhauled and the wall separating it from the dining room was torn down. The structure, hidden in the boxed ceiling, compliments the original details as they were woven into this new great room. New sliding doors replacing the relocated bathroom at the rear beckon one to the garden. This created the palette for the owner to tailor the finishes exquisitely. The resplendent marble counter top is the heart of their tasteful new living space, ideal for entertaining. For phase two, the owner commissioned ONE Design to flood the upper level of the home with light. The owner, inspired by her rural upbringing in Humboldt, wished to draw inspiration from this and her Eichler-like grandparent’s home. ONE Design vaulted the ceilings to create an open soaring roof and provide a clean three dimensional canvass. Adding skylights which bathe the clean walls in an ever changing light show was the centerpiece of this transformation. Transom windows over the bedroom doors offer additional light to the interior circulation space. Enlarged windows combine the owner’s desire to live in a “glass house,” while paying respect to the Edwardian heritage of the home and providing expansive views of the meadow-like garden oasis. The cherry on top is the attic retreat, adding a north facing dormer that peeks at the Golden Gate Bridge offers a serene perch — perfect escapism for a creative writer!

Mark Rosenhaus, CKD. The cabinet sizes are based on Fibonacci Numbers to create a composition similar to a three dimensional Mondrian. The inspiration comes from the space itself. Various beams, heat pipe and gas meter dictate the sizes of the cabinets. Pleasing squares, Golden Rectangles, negative space and horizontal lift up doors whirl around the 10’ high space in a spiral pattern similar to the Nautilus seashell. The ribbed sliding glass doors allow access to the cabinet without open doors in your face and also give direction. The husband liked modern and the wife wanted Shaker, but rescinded in order to have the curve and circle she also loved. The shapes are a metaphor for steam and bubbles rising over the stove.

FORM, FUNCTION AND LIVING SPACE BOSSA | CONCRETE In the center of this design, conceived as the hub of daily life, is a handle less island block with integrated seating area, to which the successful real wood surface program BOSSA in walnut lends a special structure all around. The protruding, linear bars of the multi-award-winning BOSSA front create a warm, uniform overall appearance and give the kitchen a three-dimensional, very lively effect - a conscious planning decision to create an elegant as well as lively effect.

3d modeling is the technical art of developing a mathematical, wire frame representation of any three-dimensional object. 3d models could be displayed as an image in print using a process called 3d rendering or used in a computer simulation.

Black bathroom with high end finishes, custom vanity with double sinks and makeup application area. This bathroom is small but packs a punch with each and every last detail - perfect lighting; sconces flanking center makeup area, led light strips emphasizing beautiful three dimensional backsplash/feature wall, metered granite, soaker tub, towel heater, oversized rainshower, and then some. The curvilinear detail seen in the feature wall is mimicked in the granite that flows across the countertop and at the shower base, the curves are also seen in the hardware for the vanity. Contrasting the organic shapes is the sharp edges of the black tile throughout.

Who doesn’t love a clean classic modern style bathroom? I find a white bathroom always looks fresh, light, and most importantly, clean. The existing bathroom layout was kept with minimal layout changes such as relocating the entrance to the walk-in closet which created more wall space for the vanity. The existing privacy room for the toilet was kept as-is since the ensuite is an open concept. Incorporated a larger custom walk-in shower with a bench and niche, and a freestanding soaker bathtub in front of the window. When you are creating a modern design using mostly white finishes, such as you see here, you need to be strategic and intentional with the use of textures. The cabinetry is a flat white painted surface in Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace, therefore when selecting the tiles for the shower, we opted for a geometric three-dimensional polished tile to contrast the flat texture found on the vanity. Designed a feature wall in wood accent between the bathtub and primary bedroom. Allows for a beautiful visual separation between both spaces. Adding matte black faucets and fixtures creates a bold accent. Carrying through the black finish on the shower frame and hardware carries this beautiful detail across all areas of the ensuite. It is distributed and dispersed evenly across the entire design.
